I've traveled here before but at different resort. I'm not to pleased with this resort. I booked through rci and they gave me a hotel style room to accommodate my sister husband and I (can you say really) tried to get it changed not happing! Food is not impressive I really expected more considering I've traveled A lot especially to Mexico. I will stick with the Southside parts of Puerto Vallarta cause this resort is just not doing it for me.

We are sorry to read that you experienced some discomfort during your recent stay with us. It is our goal to make all of are guests feel at home and we are sorry we did not met your expectations.
When our Vacation Club members, RCI or HSI guests decide to visit, they are offered different options for their stay. With the resort room being the most economic one to choose from and the one selected by you. It would have been our pleasure to honor you with an upgrade, but unfortunately, our suites we not available, since they were requested and paid for by other guests.
We are sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused you and invite you to book your next vacations in a one or two bedroom suite so you can enjoy the comfort you were expecting and the vacations you deserve.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us your point of view and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

You get a slimy feeling immediately, if you are not a Vacation Club member. We were not. They wouldn't even give us the keys to our room without a time share pitch. The beds were awful and the food was always covered in flies. A couple of us got sick, despite the great lengths we went to in order to avoid that. And the best part was the maid that let herself into our room, at 9:30pm! She even went so far as to push the chair we had placed in front of the door (for extra security as our kids were sleeping downstairs), out of the way all to drop off chocolate for our pillows. That had not ever happened before! Just the last night. It really made us wonder how often they just came in despite the do not disturb sign. Stay somewhere else!

We are happy to read that you enjoyed or our facilities, beautiful beach and friendly service and regret that we did not fully met your expectations.
Our Vacation Club staff approach our guests at arrival to inform the of all the included services and amenities so they can enjoy their vacations fully. We want you to feel comfortable and at home, so we will be revising our Time Share processes to ensure that we don't upset our costumers during the sales approach.
We are also surprised to hear about the higiene situation on our food. We have been acknowledged with the "Distinctive H", which means the authorities have certified our procedures and higiene management of food and drinks. Assuring all of them are of a high quality and safe to consume. All of our food is fresh and our bars offer national and premium options. Our Food and Beverage Manager has received your comments and will investigate in this subject.
Our maids visit our rooms during the late afternoon to drop a surprise turndown service for our guests. We apologize for the incident and assure you that it was a misunderstanding that was shared with the maid. We assure you it will not happen again and it was an isolated incident.

Week of 4th of July/Anaheim, Ca
Excited since we arrived had been to this resort once before and check in was a breeze less then 5 min.
Our wrist band was put on by Sonia in the lobby and was very welcoming!

After that of course the time share people came over but we were clear we were not interested even with all the perks they were offering. They were pushy and upset as they noticed we werent going to any presentation, then they wanted us to give $20
deposit so later in the week we would go , do not give them money! they are pushy!

rooms very nice,modern and clean , AC worked great , great ocean view and main pool view. These rooms have awesome looking Sunsets!

Shout out too all the entertainment group! Ivan, Ruben, Bryan,Gernaro,Julian,
Leo,Fernando,Facundo,Irving,Ismael,Angel,Gerry,Ricardo,Temo,Meno,Lupita,
Larissa,Mayfer,jacy,dana,fatima,rosalinda,adriana,estafania,danelia. Kept us very happy the whole time! We laughed and had a great time the 8 days we were there!
volleyball, waterpolo,bingo, excersize, dancing , shots on goal in the pool! shows at night and the club!

Cant wait to Come back to Marival Resorts and Suites!

Room tip: rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor ocean view and main pool great sunsets!

We recently returned from our vacation at Marival. Let me tell you, we are very happy with the experience. The resort was immaculately clean. The pools were crystal clear and the ocean was very swimmable. Even for our 8 year old who learned how to boogy board while we were there.

Some of the highlights was the team of people in charge of keeping everyone engaged and happy. the kids club is amazing, Stephanie was the favourite of our children, Ruben was hilarious as a pirate. The evening shows were outstanding, Angel and Gerry should be commended for Frozen. Olaf was my youngest's favourite :)

Abraham looked after us when we were sitting on the beach relaxing, always made sure we had a drink in our hands.

The restaurants were very organized and professional, the food was always delicious, however if you want a steak, wait till you go to the steak restaurant. No other restaurant seems to be able to cook it to a specific doneness, that being said the flavours made up for the doneness issue.

the only challenge we had was making dinner reservation bookings. We were definitely 'profiled' into which restaurants were available to us and at what times were available. i think next time we will try booking a week in advance if they allow this.

I would recommend to the hotel to provide free internet to their guests everywhere, not just in the club lobby, or to upgrade the pay internet so it works better. :)

I would recommend this resort to travelling families, it was excellent. :)

Had a great experience during my vacation
Loved the drinks Hector Escalera was making.Great service. If you come I recommend you stop by the bar by checkin. You will not be disappointed. BEST BAR TENDER EVER!! I have been to many resorts in Mexico and I can honestly say Hector and Carolinas service is impecable.
