Paradise Village is a well kept property with a great beach perfect for families. The pools are well set up for kids, or retired folks who want quiet. Service is average at best and the food quality is good ( not great), but the buffets lack in selection when compared to other all-inclusives. I experienced lukewarm selections on several occasions ( which I mentioned). The property really only has two ala-carte restaurants as part of the all-inclusive package with a limited menu ( couldn't get a basic side salad), and then they have theme nights ( one of which they shut the main pool down at 3pm which really puts a load on the second pool). These theme nights can best be described as "hokey" ( Mexican Night, Western Night) at best and they heard you in like cattle, and seat you at a table not of your choosing with dining partners you might not have picked.

There is really not much non-motorized sports or toys on the beach - you can get a boogie board but no kayaks or sail boats available

Although the hotel has an all-inclusive package and you get "banded" when you arrive you still have to sign for everything every time, which gets quite annoying when you have already been identified as "all-inclusive". This is because they run it as a regular hotel for others and time-share people and their accounting system requires it. The other part of this bill signing is that a person feels obligated to tip , yet again, although gratuities have been included in your original package price - double tipping ( I do tip extra for very good service but shouldn't have to feel obligated).

When it comes to any kind of nightlife this place doesn't have any. I was there for 15 nights and the nightclub was not open once. This was disappointing as a person can't even go for a nightcap as everything pretty much is done by 10 pm. This is great if you have a time-share and are retired or have kids and aren't going out.

As for the first room we got when we arrived I was shocked ( they were still using real keys and only could get me one key?) it was a significant distance from the restaurants and the beach. The bed was seriously rock hard with the springs readily felt when you sat on it. This not what I expected for a "4-Star" hotel - even in Mexico. This room had a fridge that was very unstable (feet uneven) and there were ceiling tiles ready to drop in the bathroom ( I should have taken pics). I complained to our travel tour operator immediately to get this resolved.

The room upgrade to a superior junior from a studio was much appreciated and more in line with what one would expect in a 4-star hotel. The only problem with the new room was the air conditioner was very loud when it kicked it to the point of waking you up sometimes.

The experience wasn't all bad. I have to say the maids did a great job with the room and the staff were friendly. There were a few times in the restaurants where there seemed like confusion happening due to the back and forth with different waiters at the table. Think they could use a few more to improve the service.

I applaud the Paradise Village for their animal rescue program with the tigers and other cats. I enjoyed seeing the tiger kittens and the two tigers they had on exhibit ( just wish the enclosure was less cage like and a little more like the San Diego Zoo).

Room Tip: Don't get a studio suite or a room in the Totino block.

We've been members at Paradise Village for 17 years, since our honeymoon, and always enjoy visiting what we feel is our second home. As usual, all the staff were friendly and helpful. This year, we got to know Carlos (beach grill) a little better and made sure to move to another area after the second day, when he told us he'd be at another part of the beach area. Carlos made sure we were well taken care of every day we were there. One of the things about PV we really enjoy is seeing familiar faces year after year and we can't wait to come back next year to see Carlos again. Another highlight was the massage I had from Julia - what a treat. Thanks Carlos, Julia & all the PV staff for making this another memorable trip!

First time at Paradise Village. It's a nice resort with good resort-style amenities like easy towel service and a great activities team. Plus it's much easier to get around than some of the mammoth competitors, which is nice. Great beach with lots of palapas. Loved watching the baby tigers! Paradise Market is great, and prices aren't so bad if you're not buying all those imported goods from USA or Canada.

Staying here 2 weeks. Week one in a one bedroom suite overlooking the main entrance. At first, it bothered us not to have a bay view but actually we're always in the shade and it's very quiet..so happy with the room. Equipment in the kitchen is lacking, no salt and pepper, no dish soap and only 1 coffee filter, utensils are limited and so are glasses.
Bed is very comfortable and air conditioning wrks great.
They're best quality is their staff, aways friendly and very attentive. Elizabeth our waittress was exceptional as was Joel.
Of course there are always the timeshare sales people. Very aggresive.
This saturday, we move to a 2 bedroom suite for a 2nd week. Will report again.
Last night we went to a new restaurant (1 yr old) which was excellent
called Bacha's on the Vallarta Marino. Highly recommend it. Not currently listed on the Trip Advisor

We just finished our 5th trip to Paradise Village, our 3rd with our family. It is setup perfectly for a family to relax and enjoy their time together. You can do as much or as little as you want and the beach is perfect for all ages and swimming levels. The beach is large and sandy with no rocks or sharp objects. I want to acknowledge some of the great servers we had during our stay. On the beach, we had the pleasure of having Phelipe and Sergio serving us and they are outstanding at what they do and work extremely hard doing their best to make everyone happy, which is not always easy to do. They acknowledged my children and made them feel special whenever they saw them. For restaurant servers, we had Hector and Ernesto as our waiters on a few occasions and they are another set of incredible workers who know how to look after people. These are just a few of the great people at this resort as there are many! If you want a nice resort that gives you all you need but not spoiling you to death like in some higher priced resorts, I would recommend Paradise Village.

We bought our membership in the Paradise Village Vacation Club in 2000 and have visited every year since, either with our entire family, including grandchildren, or an adults only getaway. We are always warmly welcomed and have come to know many of the staff on a first-named basis. Paradise Village is beautifully maintained, has a very attentive security staff, and it's own water filtration facility. The restaurants are top notch and the theme nights are very fun. I'd love to keep Paradise Village our personal secret, but it really does warrant being shared with others. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We prefer a marina view over an ocean view because we love watching all the activity along the inlet...

We stayed here for two weeks with our timeshare. The 2 bedroom is a great size with a good kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable. I recommend you avoid the first floor on marina side as the air conditioners run and it very Loud on patio. Both marina and ocean views are nice.

Food on resort is good but we did eat off site or cooked for most of our stay, they even have a BBQ you can reserve which is great. They also have a grocery store you can walk to however you are better off shopping at the mega grocery store which is a short cab or bus ride away.

Service is good yes you have to sign for stuff but not a huge deal as it is a cashless facility.

Pools are nice not a ton of activities. Also no night shows or entertainment really so resort is boring at night time.

Very clean resort.

All in all would stay here again.
