we stayed here allinclusive from jan. 1st till the 18.we were in the coba tower room 3420.the room itself was awsome. two very comfy beds.kitchen with granite tops.full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, and
convection/microwave oven.good size bathroom with lots of counter space.we had a nice size
baloncy. only bad things about the room was we had a view of the resort arcoss the road and the pillows are hard. you can get as much cans of beer[4 kinds] and pop and water and bring
it to your room and stock up your fridge at n/c if your allinc.we spent every day at the quiet
pool. waiters bring you drinks and food from a terrific menu. breakfast was buffett style with a egg & waffle station. fruit, bacon, sausage etc.lunch you could have at the snack bar or
alacart.suppers were alacart or 3 different themed buffets weekly. i must say the food was
out of this world. i love shrimp & i had it at least 20 times during our stay. the shrimp cocktail
8 huge shrimp was fablous.steaks, fish, chicken, salads they had it all.even steamed mussles
you have to sing for everything you order even though you are allinclusive.most people are
not. we kept track of our bills which totaled 4668.00 which totaled more than we paid for our
room. we flew down on airmiles.the only money out of our pocket at the resort was tips.
the staff are wonderful. after a few days the know what you drink and bring it before your
glass is empty. best part all beer is bottle or can.the beach is the best we have seen in pv.
everything about this place was 1ST class and we will return.

My family and I just got back from a week of disappointment, this hotel is not an all inclusive totally, only if you go to bed at ten! No food or drink after 10:30, unless you pay for room service, or go to the mall and buy your own booze and mix and snacks... I have traveled a lot and never, ever, had an all inclusive end so early in the night! The web site says there is a disco, and there is, but it hasn't been open since January first! The beach was lovely but no entertainment, sports happening, as in volleyball, entertainment committee, was non existent. Every single thing you put to your mouth , water , coffee, food, or booze, came with a bill that they discount but expected a tip every time and not when you choose to...and i guess we didn't tip big enough one night at dinner and they actually called our room to say did we mean three times the amount, we left 50 pesos, and they asked if we meant 15 American dollars! Disgusting! The beach was nice, weather was ok, but our best day was when we left the hotel and went to adventure tours and went zip lining, and repelling. Over all if u have small children, or are older and go to bed early this is the place for you! If you want to have fun with other adults or your team age children , do not stay here! At the end of the week, with groceries , we payed an extra thousand dollars , disgusting for an all inclusive! Completely unsatisfied! Oh and expect an almost four hour time share deal, pressure to buy, they say it is a welcome tour, ya right! Hope this helps someone!

Myself, my wife, my two daughters, aged 4 and 20 months travelled to PV on Jan 11 to the 18th. We've been to other all-inclusives in Mexico before and decided on this place to try something new and because of the room options available (2-bedroom, 3 bedroom, etc.)
As a family travelling from Winnipeg with two little ones, its proximity to the airport was also a factor (less than 15 minutes away).
When we first arrived at Paradise, our first impression was a very good one.
The hotel and grounds were extremely well-maintained and the staff quite friendly.
And then we checked in and things changed.
Again, the staff at the desk were quite nice but it wasn't until they started going through the list of what was and what was not on the all-inclusive plan that raised my eyebrows. Some of it was alcohol choices (some wine, spirits, liqueurs) but other was certain properties on the grounds (the gelato shop on the beach for instance). Not a deal-breaker by any means but try telling kids playing in the hot sun that the ice cream they see on the beach isn't included in the plan.
After that, we got the customary wristbands given at other all-inclusives and then set off for lunch.
This was where we got the biggest surprise.
In order to get anything to eat, even a piece of fruit, you will need to sit down and wait for a waiter. He will then order it for you and then you must wait until he returns with a bill (always discounted 100 per cent) that you must sign before you can leave.
Most other all-inclusives give you pretty easy access to anything at the resort, be it beer by the pool or a midday snack.
Here, it's a bit of an exercise and time consuming to do so.
That said, once you figured out the steps, you adjusted your eating habits and schedule accordingly, but still, if you want a sandwich, be prepared to wait for it.
Since we had young kids, we decided it best to have extra food in our room to offer them without having to walk down and order something, and just outside the security gates is a fully-stocked supermarket. We ended up buying various things from there most days (milk, snacks, juice, chips etc.) to have in our room since we had a full-sized fridge.
Still, the majority of serving staff was very polite and attentive but be prepared to tip at most bill signings if you want that to continue.
On the food, the buffets were pretty decent (if you want bacon in the morning, you have to ask the chef behind the buffet for it--they don't keep it in plain view) but the quality of the meal was much better when you went a la carte instead.
They have a different theme night each night to add variety to the meals and they did a great job of it, especially the Mexican fiesta night.
In the lobby, there are quite a few folks pushing timeshares but after a brief introduction and a no thanks, they left us alone the rest of the week.
The beach is excellent and the sand nice and soft. Each day they made sure there was no garbage or litter about.
Our room was a 2 bedroom and the size was perfect for our family with two huge balconies to boot. Lots of space to kick back and relax. One thing I quite liked was that every room had it's own independent cooling switch. So, if you wanted the living room to be very cool and the bedrooms not (or vice versa), no problem. We found the beds pretty firm, almost a little too firm.
On the grounds there is a parrot and tiger exhibit too so if you're bringing children, make sure to go by and see them.
Overall we had a wonderful time even though the whole signing for everything was a bit of a bother.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Coba tower which is a touch further from the beach (a beautiful two minute walk at...

Trips to Mexico are being discouraged by many, but safety was never a concern during our week at Paradise Village. The resort is perfectly situated with the best beach in the area. Good layout and accessibility made it perfect for our ninety year old mother. Perhaps if one leaves the resort and makes night visits to less desirable areas of nearby cities and towns there could be reason for safety concerns, but this would be true of anywhere. If you're looking for nightlife and noise and tacky entertainment, this is NOT the resort to visit. Many people are condo owners or vacationing on a time share, and the evening entertainment is not typical of other resorts. If you enjoy a huge cappuccino before leaving on a long beach walk, spending a quiet day at the beach taking advantage of the huge waves on a boogie board, eating quality food, nicely presented, consistent and well served and some live music with your dinner, then this might be the resort for you. You will be asked to attend a timeshare presentation, but there is no pressure. Because many folks spend months at the resort, some have decided to give to the community and have started a registered charity to bring a better life to some very poor people. The owners of the resort seem to have some involvement in this ministry and provide some of the services to assist this commendable work.
This was our second visit to Paradise Village. We've been to a dozen all-inclusive hotels in Cuba, the Mayan Rivieria, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic, but this is the only one we have visited twice. It seems you can count on perfect weather in Nuevo Vallarta and the beach volleyball is seriously competitive, a feature that really attracts my husband. The drinks are HUGE, the service is top-notch, and you know you will enjoy your food. There are exercise classes at the Spa, usually two different kinds each morning and I attended 3 of these. Some were good.
I agree with the comment about the pillows - they really are ghastly. Every room has a kitchen, which you certainly don't need in an all-inclusive. The place is approaching 20 years of age, but it is well-built and still in good shape and the grounds are beautiful. Some people might be annoyed by the fact that you always have to sign for your food and drinks, but with so many people not being all-inclusive, you can understand why this policy exists.
Hopefully the friendly, hard working and honest people of Mexico will not have to suffer with unemployment as tourism is destroyed by the country's growing reputation for violence. I know that violence exists is some places, but we felt just as safe at Paradise Village as we do at home.

Room Tip: I'm not willing to pay for a beach view - how much time do you spend in your room anyway? I don...
