This review is in addition to Hopefullgreat’s review as we were part of the family group. Your greatest asset is your fabulous STAFF, who are very friendly and always willing to help with a warm smile along…..Hugo, Josue, Ishmael, Julio, Raul, Eduardo, Fernando, Cesar, Darcy and the Entertainment staff (Mitch, Ezequiel, Ferny and Jonny) to only name a few.

We really appreciated free Wifi and free phone calls to anywhere in North America. We have never been to an all inclusive where guests were not required to wear a wristband. We found this a positive feature.

The A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS are very good and the service excellent. We appreciated that we did not have to reserve any of the restaurants like you do at most resorts. Hits at other all inclusive resorts included a popcorn station, a self serve ice cream station, and a wood burning oven pizza close to the beach. These are common in most resorts and accessible during the day until night.

LANDSCAPE is well maintained. Some colourful flowers around the trees would make it even nicer. We loved the hammocks.

AEROBICS / WATER AEROBICS - We noticed a significant difference in the 2 instructors that you had during the 2 weeks. We felt Rosalind motivated us with her fun workouts. Ezequiel, from the Entertainment staff, also did a commendable job.

BEACHES - We found the beach to be wide, beautiful, and long stretches in both directions. The vendors were not intrusive at all. The bar service to the beach was excellent.

We are hoping that our suggestions for improvement are taken seriously and acted upon...as we would love to return and also recommend the resort to our friends and relatives.

We rented a condo at Villa Magna for a period of 3 months. We were pleased with the quality of the premises and very much impressed by the assistance received by Ciria at the Dream Hotel. She made our stay at Villa Magna much more enjoyable and pleasant.

We had a wonderful family holiday despite the fact that the resort is not really accessible to people with mobility issues or with baby carriages. I will point out the many positives we liked and also the negatives which I suggest could easily be improved to bring the resort up a notch....Our comments are based on many years of resort vacations in the entire Vallarta coast as well as Acapulco, Ixtapa, Manzanillo, Cancun, Barbados, Cartagena, Puerto Rico, Puerto Plata & Punta Cana.

Your greatest asset is your fabulous STAFF, who are very friendly and always willing to help with a warm smile along...guards, waiters & waitresses , bellboys, maître d's, entertainment, supervisors and managers....Hugo, Josue, Ishmael, Julio, Raul, Eduardo, Fernando, Ezequiel, Johnny, Cesar, Darcy to only name a few...If you have special requests check with a supervisor and they will be
honoured to accommodate you with pleasure.

The ROOMS are large and spacious...large balcony....lots of drawer & closet space as well as shelving in the large bathroom which has much appreciated double sinks. However, the washroom lacks privacy as there is only a transluscent thin partial curtain separating the bedroom and the washroom facilities. If one has to go to the washroom during the night, the light in the washroom wakes up the other person. The beautiful large shower is slippery, no rubber mat unless requested, and no safety bar. If you require a different type of pillow you will be asked to leave a credit card guarantee. This is ridiculous for a hotel that offers different pillows as required. There is no night table with a light nor any plugs where a night light could be placed in the area of the 2nd bed. Therefore in order to turn off the ceiling light before going to sleep, one has to go across the room in the dark to go to bed. Something needs to be done to fix this issue of no light by the 2nd bed. That area is not functional at all. No table. Only one chair provided per room.
Towel provision for the room is inconsistent...sometimes enough, others not...and tipping does not seem to help. Turn down service and provision of night towels also inconsistent...sometimes turndown done mid-afternoon before one returns from beach, rather than in evening when one is having dinner, which is usually the case in other resorts..

The resort , which is well maintained and very clean is NOT ACCESSIBLE since there are only 2 ramps which are very slanted, slippery and do not have handrails. There are lots of stairs to get to both bathrooms by the pools, which are also far from the beach. I suggest that accessible washrooms be built closer to the beach where the bar is located. Given the demographics of the resort...lots of senior and families with babies....these improvements would be much welcomed.

The A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS are very good and the service excellent. We did not try the Mexican one EL PATIO as not accessible ( about 25 stairs). The Seaside Barefoot grill restaurant closest to beach has basic hamburgers & hotdogs & fries during afternoon. It would be good if they offered buffet salads & fruit for afternoon snacks.
Suggest also self serve ice cream station and wood burning oven pizza . These are common in most resorts and accessible during day until night.
BUFFET restaurant has rather basic provisions at breakfast...the breads are often stale and have to be toasted to be eaten , there are no grainy healthy breads, only one type of jam, runny peanut butter. French toast always hard as not soaked enough. On the other hand great fruit smoothie and eggs stations. Great cappuccinos. Lunches at the buffet are very good.. Suggest offering more grilled fish rather than so many meats. Food labelling needs to be more specific as often staff did not know. Perhaps putting a vegetarian symbol as done in the a la carte restaurants. Great service. Love those glass blue fish hanging!
Restaurants need to have a selection of herbal teas. Only have camomille. Sometimes had trouble obtaining a teapot as not many available.

POOLS are large and well maintained. However, the gorgeous infinity pool remains underused because if is freezing cold! It would be nice to have it warmed up as the main pool is.

LANDSCAPE is well maintained. Some colourful flowers around the trees would make it even nicer.

NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT, in comparison with other Nuevo vallarta resorts , was mediocre and no piano bar or other nice live music.
The shows which were excellent were: fire, acrobatics & tropical.
The MUSIC by the beach bar is awful and way too loud for the guests to enjoy... No quiet period like other resorts have...I think it was more for the enjoyment of the bar tenders...

CHAIRS & PALAPAS: when we 1st arrived they had security guards controlling the time you left your chairs unoccupied and removing your towels and belongings after one hour. Really inconvenient when you went for a long walk, lunch or swimming. After complaining about this ridiculous policy they changed the order and left guests alone to enjoy as pleased.. It is a positive sign that management listened.

We are hoping that our suggestions for improvement are taken seriously and acted upon...as we would love to return and also recommend the resort to our friends and relatives.

Room Tip: When you ask for a room with 2 beds , the 2nd which is after a type of devider column does not have night table with light....hoping they will rectify this structural flaw of room.

I couldn't say enough about this place. WE loved it!
If you are a spring breaker, this place won't be for you. Crazy college crap not tolerated!
A great place place for adults only. Well kept facility, professional staff, love having room service available.

Room Tip: quieter in the 2nd tower, mountain view.

First and foremost the staff are the most accommodating and friendly that we have encountered anywhere and we have been to a lot of resorts including Sandals, Couples and Riu's to name a few.
Secondly the food is good - no contest - good. The only items that we would not chose again were those that had the 'Mole sauce' on them in the a la carte 'Le Patio' restaurant because it came across as having a bitter overtone, otherwise everything was good. A tip for ordering food at the a la carte restaurants is that unless you are prepared to gorge yourself do not order Starters, salads, soup and a Main because you will not be able to eat it all. Portion sizes are very large. I can eat BUT when I cannot eat a Starter of beef carpaccio, ceviche and a main of fish and vegetables - the portions are large!

This is a very well maintained property and kept clean by the staff regardless of how hard the clients try to mess it up. Even the beach had pickers that made it hard to even find a cigarette butt.

The beach is soft sand but the ocean is always rough meaning 3 - 5 foot waves all the time and beware of the snakes, we saw 3 during our stay and heard of another. These creatures should not be taken for granted since they are venomous.

The resort shares its pools with condo owners which did not affect us because we prefer the beach but we did observe chairs with towels draped on them for the entire day with no one using them at all. It is easy to distinguish the condo owners since their towels are generally different from the resort colour.

Beware of the 'Time share' people in the Lobby. The resort uses them as a very lame orientation of the property but don't be fooled as they immediately set you down to try to have you visit other (their) location in return for useless coupons for wine?or meals? If corralled, challenge them that they are 'Time share' and they drop you quickly.

AIRPORT TIP; Don't stop walking until you are outside the terminal which is where your real travel agent contact is. Everyone inside is 'Time share".

We stayed on the first floor immediately above the buffet and overlooking the pools, no problems, no noise.

Room Tip: Try to get an ocean view room otherwise you would just look at trees and traffic.

Dear guest.
I would like to thank you for your comments and tips for future travelers. I would like to inform you that during winter season waves might increase their size. Hopefully, this condition will be over by spring time (April). We are very pleased to know that you have enjoyed your stay at the resort.
All of the Dreams Villamagna staff will be happy to see you back again in your home away from home.
