We were at riu last week for seven days. The best all inclusive we ever stayed so far.we have been to all over mexico and carribeen many times.
Riu Palace is defenitely a PALACE and the CLEANEST we ever stayed. All Marble Floors in Main lobby and the staff take pride in cleaning it regularly three times per 24 hours.
waiters and bar tenders are exceptional;no difference in service whether you tip or not.
Yes. Locals come for stay on weekends and they normally do not tip. They drive to the hotel in expensive vehicles and may be affluent by local standards.Compared to Riu Jalisco and Riu vallarta fewer (more affluent) stay at the Palace,
Speciality resturants are excellent in food and service.Though seven day stay get you three resturant selection the staff was very couertous to give us four seatings.
Our simple practice in buffet room is to sit at the same table(area) always so the waiters know you and waiting to serve you.Our tipping practise was dollar for b.fast and lunch, with two dollars for supper.Speciality Resturant tip was 5 to 7 dollars,
Overall it was the best stay of our life and Palace lives up to everything they promised.More
