I was there at the beginning of August and everything was perfect from beginning to end. They organized airport pick up, I did my AOW course (combined with excellent dives in the area of the hotel and Apo island), booked my ferry back and transport to port. No issues at all.
The instructor I had (Anna) was amazing. I fully recommend this place

I originally booked my dive with another dive shop but the last minute they backed out for some reason. They booked me with Acqua Resort and Im glad they did.

Chae and Sean were very pleasant, accomodating and very helpful together with my divemaster Esmael and other staff. I felt safe and well taken care of. Chae also exerted extra effort to bring her underwater camera and took a picture of us, which you barely see with other dive resort. Dive equipments were neat some are almost new. Boat is big and nice.

I cant rate the resort per se for i didnt stay there, but i must say it was well kempt. they have nice lounge chair by the pool, the comfort room was spacious, I just wish that they had a private shower room for the day trip divers.

Theres always a room for improvement and as I read other reviews they were satisfied with the food. As I see it, other group had packed meal in a lunchbox. However for us 3 divers we had sandwich with a choice of chicken mayo, tuna mayo, etc. bread was hard, and cant barely taste the chicken.Ill give them the benefit that maybe, it is because they were notified that we are diving with them one day ahead?

Overall i was very satisfied. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

Thank you very much

I went on a day trip to Apo island with Acqua dive and I had a great time. Anna was really friendly as were the other guests on the boat and I felt immediately comfortable. The location was great to get to Apo island and the island itself was beautiful. Loads of reefs and fish. I went snorkeling but the other family on board were diving. The equipment was good and they had a big selection. The boat was clean and big and the resort itself is beautiful. A big pool, lovely gardens, lots of comfortable eating and very clean. I would definitely recommend this place!

Glad we stayed in this resort instead of that in Dauin where I originally considered. This place was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. This resort made me feel at home and very relaxing which I badly needed after working for 10 or so hours a day in the office.
The dive master Ismael was very accommodating and knowledgable about the different fish species in the underwater world (as I am quite unfamilar with them since I was recently certified). The house reef was muck diving and we saw unique creatures. The trip to Apo island was the highlight of our trip and even if we went with snorkelers the timing was perfect. We did 2 dives there and another near Aquadive.
The lunch had an added touch. My food was served in an eco friendly lunch box with the rice, meat and veggies neatly seperated! Not in your typical carton box which I had experienced in other dive resorts when you had to take lunch in the boat for a day trip. The staff and the dive instructor Ana who guided other snorkelers were very organized and assisted everyone.
The resort was very private as there are only 5-6 rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect for our diving. The rooms are spacious, clean and they provide hairdryers! Even the toilet smelled nice. Water, coffee and tea was provided in casa stone (their restaurant) for 24 hours. Food was good and reasonably priced. If you order dinner early you can get a free drink like beers and hard drinks. The hammock, the beach chairs and the greenery outside overlooking Apo island just across the resort makes you want to extend your stay. The couples Chae and Sean were there during our stay and they were very hands on.
The only complaint I have is that they ran out of sleevelees tank tops! I bought one of their t-shirt as a souviner. We left early on our last day to tour Dumaguete city before we proceeded to the airport. I highly recommend this place and book early as they only have a few rooms.

I first had the pleasure of visiting Acqua Dive last year with my, then, 11 eleven old daughter after extensively reviewing the various dive resorts in the Dumaguete, Dauin, and Zambuanguita areas. Most dive enthusiasts know that Apo Island is one of the must dive spots in the Philippines and there was neither a higher rated resort nor closer dive resort than Acqua Dive. I gave them an unconditional 5 - stars last year and, if it were possible, would rate them even higher this year. The resort is as well manicured as ever, the food and service is excellent, the dive instructor (Ana) and dive master (Ishmael ) are top notch, and the owners/hosts (Sean and Chae) go out of the way to make you feel right I home. To top it off, they now have their very own, incredibly spacious, dive boat. This year, I brought the rest of my family, including my wife, autistic son, and 6 additional relatives. We had some scheduling issues on our part, but Sean and Chae went out of their way to accommodate us and both they and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate for my son and his special needs. I truly cannot say enough about this resort. Bar none, one of the best vacation spots for divers, snorkelers, and families in the Visayas. Our relatives that joined us from Manila continue to rave about their experience. Thank you Acqua Dive!
