“Homemade Mexican cuisine flavors”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

It can easily be reviewed as average if you are looking for high end gourmet restaurant, but if what you're looking for is a taste of real homemade Mexican cuisine this is a very good chooice.

“Yum yum!!!”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

This is by far the best restaurant in Colima the food is incredible and even though the place is very unpretentious the service is formidable. Try the tamales oaxaqueños or the mole negro!! You will not regret it!!

“Big hit on cruise port day”
Reviewed December 6, 2010

Because I love Oaxacan food, I brought a group of 19 to this restaurant on a Manzanillo cruise port day. The atmosphere was quaint, the seating large enough to easily accomodate all of us and a lot more, the service was fairly quick, and the prices were fair. The owner seemed anxious to please us, and immediately took a couple items off the menu that were ordered and not delivered--with apologies. A lot of us are vegetarian, and most of us were very pleased with our food. One vegetarian was not, because his excellent vege tamales were delivered to a meat eater who ordered chicken tamales (wrapped in banana leaves). The meat eater ate most of one before it was discovered, and then a switch was made. But the meat eater did not like the chicken ones as much as the vegetable tamales! The vegetarian was upset at having trusted the food and eaten chunks of chicken for the first time in a number of years.

Overall, the food was excellent. I do recommend NOT sitting at one large table if you have a big group. This seem to confuse the Spanish only speaking waiter. The food came out in spurts, but we were glad it was served hot and not held back to be served all together. Four of the group sat at their own table, and they were served quicker and all together. They were done eating when some of our group was still waiting on their food.

I would go again in a heartbeat. The prices were very fair, one can eat and drink for under $10 easily. The portions were good size for the prices. The food was excellent.

We choose to go here instead of going to Comala. It was a highlight of the day.
