“Love the Dream Weaver Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

We stay here whenever we go to Rocky Point - several times a year. Oscar and his wife are very nice and welcoming! A block from the old port. We have stayed in most every room they have and they are all very nice and decorated nicely. I am very picky about my food and where I eat. Be sure to eat at Pollo Luca's, Pedro's in the old port, they will serve up whatever fresh seafood you catch or purchase. For breakfast go to Lupita's, and for a little upscale dinner, go to Pan y Vino - loove their ceviche. Also, JJ's in Choya Bay is fun to drive to for a beer and watch the tide. They do not have room service or a fitness center.

Nice small Inn close to Malecon but away from noisy night clubs.
Great reception by Lupita who gave great advice on restaurants, etc. and was generally very helpful

Quiet and comfortable with views of water exactly as advertised.

Room Tip: Pick room with a view.

We've never had a strong desire to go the P. Penasco....but it was the logical place to stay on our road trip from our home in Alamos, Sonora to Ensenada. We looked for some place to stay on the beach for one night...and every place had such mediocre and mixed reviews that we weren't drawn to any of them. After reading the consistently good reviews for this place, it seemed like a good option for us because it really wasn't a priority to be on the beach. More important for us is a well-cared for place to stay. We pulled into town, called for directions and to see if there was a room...and found our way to the Dream Weaver Inn. Oscar showed us to the upper room with a great little balcony with a nice view of the malecon and the water beyond. The room was cozy, the full size bed was small but very comfortable, the AC worked great and it was just....nice. In the early morning, the balcony was a great place for my yoga practice...Oscar is a welcoming helpful host and we appreciated both his dinner and breakfast tips. The struedel and food at KoffeeHaus was great! Gracias por todo and we will refer others to stay there!

Room Tip: The top room was great, I'm not sure what the room of the 'lower lever' were like but th...

This is a quaint quiet place to relax and enjoy the shopping, beach and restaurants that are within walking distance. I love getting up early in the morning and walking near the beach to a nice restaurant for breakfast. The night life was great too, with food families and lots of fun and music. If you don't care for the big fancy hotels, but want a nice relaxing atmosphere Dreamweaver is the place to stay. Thanks Lupita and Oscar.

Room Tip: Rooms in the front have a great view of the ocean and nice patio to enjoy. Relaxing with a cup of c...

Have been to Dreamweaver now once a month since discovering this special place. DREAMWEAVER is habit forming! Brought our son and fiance and were able to have an entire floor to ourselves. Everything is within walking distance, and enjoy the weekend activities across the street at the Malecon. There is even a convenience store less than a block away in case you've forgotten anything or want a new snack (OXXO)
Always clean, well-equipped and we are able to fix some meals and just enjoy our Dreamweaver spot. And oh the joy of the air conditioning after a day at the beach!LOVE the decor that makes it truly feel like a secluded vacation hideaway.
Oscar and Lupita are the BEST hosts we have ever encountered, and they are full of great suggestions to really discover the area.In all our travels, this is our favorite spot of all.
Can't say enough about this wonderful small treasure and the its gracious management team...

Room Tip: Each room has a different personality. All are super!

My partner and I just spent five nights at the Dream Weaver. It met our expectations perfectly. We were looking for basic but clean accommodations. The Dream Weaver was clean! We had a small bedroom, living room and basic shower and bathroom. The air conditioning was great in the bedroom and there was a fan in the living room. It came with a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. Although we took food with us, we never cooked. We were very close to the central plaza and malecon (ocean walkway) and found great places to eat very inexpensively. There was nightly entertainment, especially Saturday and Sunday nights with free music and dancing. It was right in the center of old town. Our suite was very quiet due to solid cement walls. We were able
park right in front of the inn every night. We went to great isolated beaches south of town. This was perfect for what we wanted and needed. We were not looking for luxury resorts filled with visiting Americans. Our hosts Oscar and Lupita were very helpful and friendly. We plan to go back!

Room Tip: Tell Oscar and Lupita what your needs are: air conditioning, first level, full kitchen etc.

We had a great time staying at the DreamWeaver Inn. It is in the old port area of Puerto Penasco but the beach isn't too far away. This was our first trip to Rocky Point since moving to Phoenix, and it was great. Oscar has a great little place, overlooking the water and the plaza. Shops and restaurants are close and recommendations are easily had. We reserved the Palapa room, and then called back to reserve the one below for our adult daughter. AC worked like a champ, and the room had microwave and hotplate if you feel ambitious. However, I'd rather let Mary's do the cooking, but the fridge is great to keep beer and wine in! We felt very secure wandering about this area of Puerto Penasco. Many familys and locals hang out here. Street vendors are numerous, and of good quality. I recommend the Coconut vendor down on the corner. If you love big fancy resorts then the DreamWeaver probably isn't right for you, but if you are looking for a quaint place where you can feel like a local, this is the place. Parking is on the street in front of the Inn. Highly recommend the Dreamweaver Inn!

Room Tip: Palapa room at the top is the best if you can handle the stairs!
