First time here with the family this resort is located in the nicer part of Rocky Point, in the past we have stayed in different places, but from now on this is our new spot, its very relaxing, the staff is excellent. It feels very safe and you have good views from every angle. Definitely the best in town. The only bad thing was that the store wasn't opened or the kids play area, because it wasnt peak season.

my family of 5 stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites on the 3rd floor of one of the newer buildings. The suite was spacious. This same suite in Waikiki would have been $1,200 to $1,500 per night, but here it is $140 per night. It is well built, solid, clean and comfortable. We stayed 10 nights. Housekeeping cleans and spruces up the unit every day. It is right on the beach and we felt very safe on the hotel's grounds and surrounding area. The pools are plentiful, but in December only a couple of the pools are kept at a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately the lazy river pool was too cool to enjoy, so it was only an aesthetic feature. While our kids (ages 12 to 17) had a good time, I don't know if the pool scene alone would have been attractive enough for kids 5 years younger. The hot tubs often were over crouded at night. The beach immediately in front of the property was nice and relatively clean. Local vendors constantly hounded us to purchase their wares. We constantly blurted, 'no gracias!' Other than the cool pools, my only other complaint was that the dishwasher broke down part way through our stay and it was never repaired. Also, a friend staying in the unit next to us never did have a working potable water facet at the kitchen sink. So set your expectations short of the service that you are used to getting in the USA. But I give this 5-dots because of the value which deserves 6-dots.

Room Tip: If you do not mind being on the first floor, it sure is convenient to the pools.

We have traveled the world. Swam with dolphins in the Bahamas, turtles in Maui and as I walked on the beach with my 11 year old she said " This is my favorite vacation so far." It was too cold for us to swim because we are from AZ and so for us it was cold. What ended up happening is instead of the kids in the pools and ocean. Our family walked the beach together for sea shells, watched dolphins by the hour, played games, rested in hammocks and had dinner every night. TOGETHER!! We loved it.
The rooms are not as nice as the other one we stayed at but the amenities were much better here. (OUR room was still amazing!! The other hotel just had an out of this world room) Having said that we would return to this room/hotel over the other.

Room Tip: The only reason service was poor is the people at check in were rude. The person we rented from was...

Great trip for the family. We spent the week working and playing. It was a very good trip. We loved being by the ocean and all of the heated pools were awesome. The sand dunes were fun to run around on four wheelers.

Room Tip: Sea facing is the best.

Place is a rip-off. Cancelation policy only emailed after it is booked. Only then found out that there is no cancellation allowed. Called to cancel but told no way once credit card is run which is before they email the cancellation policy. The Rocky Point shooting massacre was right by this resort and happened the day after I booked this. No way I wanted to take a chance at being gunned down. I lost out on the whole rental amount but at least my family was safe at home.

This complex of rental units has to phases. Phase I is the oldest. Unfortunatelly, we stayed in that part and the units were old, far away from the restaurant, with no wi-fi connections. The pool was covered with a plastic covered, the pool bar closed, the convinient store was closed and there room service was not good.

Room Tip: Las Palomas used to be the best place to stay, do what we'll do and try something new.

Had a great time. They were fixing the swim up bar at our pool in Phase 1 we could go to the other pool in Phase 2. Beautiful beach and great views from all rooms. I found the staff very helpful and very accommodating.

Room Tip: All rooms have either beach view or beach front.
