“Old Port”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Long time traveler to Rocky Point and have seen many, many changes. This is Mexico and I love to shop for bargains there. There is nothing I need and can easily walk away; however, be prepared to be followed. I have a house full of décor and a jewelry box full of trinkets that remind me of Mexico and keep me happy until my next trip . . . where I will be back again searching for things that are "Almost Free!"

“Excellent cheap fresh food!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We tried Restaurant Perico Marinero in Old Port on the main street. It is next to Mary's and is upstairs. Manuel will guide you when you are choosing how you would like your fish prepared. The cook used to work at Mary's; this is why Mary's food has declined in quality & Perico Marinero's has risen!! The food & presentation are excellent. You must eat here! Fish dinner is only $9. Fish tacos $1.50. Shrimp and carne asada tacos only $1 each!

Eat here and ask for Manuel.

“Never heard "Almost Free" before”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Old Port has lots to do, eat, drink and shop. Although all the shops have the same old cheep stuff, fake purses, tee shirts and sunglasses the best thing to shop for is the fresh seafood at the fish markets! We stopped at Three Boys fish shop and pick up some amazing shrimp and Sea Bass. The were so nice, they cleaned the shrimp and shelled it too. Then they packed everything in a cooler. We had lunch in Sr. Amigos. I had never eaten there before but was pleasantly surprised. We bought some vanilla and a beautiful Mexican platter. All in all it a great way to spend a windy day in Rocky Point.
