The front desk was not friendly at all. We had reservations for 3 days and not one of of those days did the elevator work properly!! We had to go up the stairs to the fourth floor everytime! On our second day the elevator broke down and someone was stuck in there for 20 minutes. The staff never even bothered to clean our room! It was all just an unpleasant hotel for the time being there but at least the beach was down the path there. Oh and don't eat at the restaurant there it gave most of my family horrible heartburn and made our stomachs hurt.

We checked in very late in the evening, and the guy at the front desk gave us our keys. My parents were in the room next to ours, and when we finally got into our room, there were no towels, a light missing form the overhead fixture, and no pillows on the beds. The beds were made, but there were no pillows. When we tried to call down to the desk, the phone was unplugged. We plugged it in and called but to no avail. Eventually we walked down the stairs, the elevator was very sketchy and scary, and told the front desk manager. He said he would fix it while we went to get food. An hour later when we returned we went to our room and found it exactly the same. Again we went downstairs and they said no one went in because no one was in there, despite promising to have someone do it while we were gone. They sent a security guard with us, and all he did was grudgingly open the door to the room across from ours and take their pillows and towels. The rooms were not very clean, and the door to the balcony did not lock. The door to our room only fully closed if slammed shut.
Playa Bonita used to be a very nice place, but I'm afraid it's gone down hill in the past couple years.

Do not believe Playa Bonita RV Park when they tell you your deposit is refundable. I made a $70 deposit in April, 2013 for March, 2014. I called the RV office on January 4, 2014, to cancel and I was told it would take a month to receive my $60 refund (they keep $10 for any cancellation). February 4 came and went and no word from Playa Bonita. I had friends that were visiting Rocky Point in mid-March and I sent a letter requesting the refund be given to them or transferring the refund to other RV friends that are staying in the park in April. My friends only got the run-around: the manager would have to handle that and is not here - come back tomorrow. My friends came back the next day and still there was no one qualified to give a refund. Do not give them any money that you would ever expect to be refunded!

Not much fun when your room smells of sewer and you are ankle deep in your shower with water that won't drain. Never go there again. Went on bus trip there. Rooms cleanliness not bad. Beds ok. Don't drink or brush teeth with water. Water jug on our floor was empty. Would not stay at this place again. Must be a better hotel a take tourists to enjoy Mexico. Puerto Penasco not a bad area. Great shrimp. Restaurants recommended by tour were so, so.

Excellent park with perfect location on the beach. About $144/week or $175/week for the locations overlooking the beach. All spots are good. Voltage was right on. Showers are HOT with laundromat next room. Office is friendly and can arrange RV work from washing to painting to upholstery. Restaurant is right next door to RVs and EXCELLENT with 4 to 6 happy hour and $2 margaritas or just $6 for a pitcher. Tasty but not very strong. Bar and inside are large and very well done for a romantic evening dinner and the very large outside deck overlooks the ocean . Food is some of the best Mexican we have ever eaten. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nachos are enough to feed a family. Vendors come through park everyday selling huge shrimp, tamales, etc. Propane truck also plus the garbage truck visits once a day. We looked at all the Puerto Penasco RV parks and this is our #1. Park is secure with nothing ever reported missing by any long time visitors. Can't wait for our next visit.

This review said everything I would have. Spots to accomodate 40+ length RV's with 30 amp service. Also free WIFI. This our 3rd visit and will return again. Also checked out other RV parks. This by far is the best with best beach front. No swimming pool but does have hot tub.
