“Very welcoming!”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

We stayed here recently for a weekend away, upon arrival we were very warmly greeted and made to feel at home, we stayed in the annex it was very comfortable had everything that we needed and was nice and spacious.
We only had breakfast here as it was only a short stay but were offered evening meals if required. there were a lot of different options for breakfast and Mary was very flexible with times, the options we chose were very nice... highly recommend the poached eggs and bacon (with eggs from their own chickens!!)
The B&B is nicely located in a very pretty village and is within good driving distance of local attractions.
Overall a very nice and comfortable stay, would recommend.

A weekend that Darren and I will never forget. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so special and comfortable within minutes.
Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Mary and Tim. Beaughtiful bedroom in a home to only imagine having the chance to stay in.
If a home cooked breakfast to the highest of standards is what you require we promise you will not be disappointed in any way.
We have booked ourselves back in for June and we are on countdown already.
Highly recommended .

All previous reviews I had read were confirmed as soon as we arrived. Lovely period farmhouse, gorgeous room, furnishings, comfy bed. Coffee/tea/cake...breakfast 10/10.....dogs, cats, chickens a welcoming sight. Mary and Tim couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. So easy to chat to, like a long lost relative. We wished we had opted for an evening meal there and sat in the lounge, maybe next time. There's a huge garden to walk around with a large pond, well you could call it a small lake. Wifi was working, but if it hadn't been , I would not have complained as one reviewer had earlier. A break is a break ! Complimentary wine and nibbles in room. Lovely toiletries.
Go and stay....you won't be disappointed. A great base for visiting North Norfolk.

Room Tip: Annexe if you totally want to be alone, but we had no problems. There isn't a bad room.

We've just returned from a mini-break to Norfolk, staying at this wonderful B&B. A stay at White House Farm is an amazing experience on many levels. We enjoyed delicious, home-cooked breakfasts as well as an abundance of tea and home-made cakes to greet us every afternoon on our return from a day out. ( A lovely dinner was also provided for us on request one evening). The accommodation was cosy, clean and rustic with full facilities, and our room was well-stocked with assorted teas and coffees and even a small bottle of wine. The connecting single room to our double was perfect for our party of two adults and a child. The house is in a beautiful setting with a lovely garden, home to the chickens that provided our fresh eggs for breakfast every day. Two adorable dogs and two cheeky cats complete the friendly menagerie.
We were shown fantastic hospitality from the owners, Mary and Tim, who gave us Norfolk novices plenty of good suggestions regarding day time attractions to evening dining out. They even took our young son out for a couple of jaunts in their very characterful Morris Minor and Nissan Figaro! Mary and Jim don't just go the extra mile - they run the marathon!
We will definitely be returning to enjoy more of the the very special White House Farm hospitality.

I stumbled across this beautiful B&B only the night before our stay. My boyfriend and I found this B&B on booking.com and were amazed at what great value this was for such a gorgeous place.

When we drew up in our car, we were greeted by the lovely Mary who is so welcoming and made us feel instantly at home. She made us a pot of tea and we put our feet up and relaxed in the homely communal living room (which we had to ourselves really as the only other couple staying here were relaxing in the bright and comfortable conservatory).

We stayed in the double room in the barn conversion, which was traditional, clean and very comfortable.

My favourite part of the trip is that the B&B is very remote, we had no phone signal and you are a 20 odd mintue drive from restaurants etc. but this was perfect for us hard workers who enjoyed the peace and quiet in the countryside! We did venture to Fakenham for our evening meal which took 20 minutes but had a very nice indian meal here.

In the morning we were prepared the most delicous breakfast by Mary; Fresh fruit, Orange Juice, Filter coffee, yogurt, and cooked breakfasts- my boyfriend had local bacon and fresh eggs from the farm and I had delicous croissants with ham and cheese. We felt thoroughly spoilt and it just finished off our stay nicely before we travelled home.

I've already booked to go back in March with the rest of our family to Coopers house (also on the farm - sleeps up to 12) and my sister in law and husband have also booked to stay in April!

I can't wait to go back and recommend anyone wanting a nice peaceful break away try it too!

Room Tip: Choose the annex room for self catering, or the double B&B room in the barn for couple.

I have stayed in many B&Bs in my time but this rates as one of the very best. The accommodation itself is excellent; clean and comfortable. The breakfast is exceptional and there is lots of it! If you are a birdwatcher it is very convenient for the Norfolk North coast. What makes this place extra special is the welcome and stunning service and attention to detail extended by Mary, the owner of the B&B. It was my first time at the White House but it immediately felt like I was staying with a long lost friend or family. Mary could not do enough to help us (stayed with a friend) and made the a great weekend bird watching in Norfolk extra special. I am already planning to go back. If you are planning on visiting the area - stay at the White House. If you are starting up a B&B visit the White House to find out how it should be done.

This is our second review of White House Farm. After a year my wife and I returned to see if things have changed at White House Farm. No they haven't. It is still a wonderful place to stay. We had the annexe which is a beautifully well equipped ground floor flat. So if you couldn't make the one minute walk over to one of Mary's excellent breakfasts you could always cook your own in your well equipped and spotlessly clean kitchen in the flat. On this last visit we returned home to an email from Mary to say I had left my neck support pillow at the flat and that she had posted it back. . . yes it arrived home first post following day. 'That's service'. As before, We still have one complaint; We can't award more than five stars.
