We have just spent one night here and it was superb from beginning to end. Lovely modern hotel with friendly staff. The rooms have various little extras and the most amazing comfortable bed. Lovely shower with loads of fluffy towels. The breakfast was yummy with heaps of choice, could'nt fault it. Our only complaint was that we had two small glasses of wine that cost £11 which is extortionate, although very nice wine. We would definately recommend this hotel and plan to return but sadly no more wine.

Flying into Exeter Airport we needed a good hotel to relax in as a one night stopover intending to travel on the next day to begin our holiday in Cornwall.
Wow this hotel was just right! Just 7 minutes walk from Exeter Airport along a good footpath and straight into the hotel reception where we were so warmly greeted and then we were in our room within a very short time even though the up-going lifts were not working at that time. The room was nicely decorated and everything worked perfectly. Nice size flat screen T.V. too!
This is a new hotel (16 months since opening) and had everything we needed to just relax. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the end of Exeter Airport's main runway and the golden corn/wheat fields. It was very quiet and yes it had a good strong signal for our WiFi devices.
The reception area and dining rooms were spacious and the lounge area was very comfortable with a number of four seater booths to relax and be quiet in. Meals could be eaten there also. In the morning there was a scrumptious buffet breakfast and with fresh fruit too! There was a 'Full English Breakfast' on offer - we were a little disappointed about what appeared to be processed scrambled eggs and not fresh fried eggs - but that's how it is these days.
Hey there was a free newspaper available for everyone and any amount of tea and coffee throughout the day so we just laid back and enjoyed ourselves until our transport arrived to take us on holiday - now what could be better. Do note that dogs are not really allowed into the hotel areas.
The most courteous of hotel staff went out of their way to provide the little things we needed like fresh milk for our tea and I noticed a member of the kitchen staff actually went to find some chocolate muffins for a young lad who seemed disappointed at finding the breakfast chocolate muffin plate empty as he had arrived very late for his breakfast - now that's what I call going the extra mile to please a guest, needless to say he was delighted and so were we!
There seems to be no actual restaurant inside the hotel but within the building in a separate area with its own entrance is a very nice restaurant called 'Marco's New York Italian' with a great menu and with what we would call 'reasonable prices'. I enjoyed a tender, tasty steak and my wife commented on the flavour and tenderness of the chicken meal. It was a enjoyable quiet evening with excellent attentive service even though they were busy.
This hotel was a joy to stay in and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Well done Hampton by Hilton you have two most satisfied customers who are more than happy with their stay.... keep it up!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the airport runway and adjoining fields are pleasant and quieter. The main road ru...

Great room, overlooking the runway, looked more like the Prairie! Very quiet, could hardly hear planes taking off / landing.
New hotel so all very clean, super comfortable bed, good supply of toiletries.
Bar menu ok, food fine, not haute cuisine but fine.
Very generous buffet style free breakfast. Very, very reasonable, £52 for a double room with eat as much as you want breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask to overlook runway

This is not a normal review because I'm not a normal guest: I lived at the Hampton Exeter Airport for about 15 months until quite recently when my contract ended at Flybe.

I won't go into too much detail because others have covered it all many times. However, I wanted to publicly thank all the staff (and I mean ALL) for making my many stays there as comfortable as I could have hoped. These guys will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable whether your stay is long or short.

The house-keeping staff keep the rooms and general public areas to a very high standard. If I ever had a problem or needed something, they will always do their best to help.

The front of house staff (including those at Marco's restaurant) are always friendly and look after you well. The only times I ever witnessed any issues was when a guest because rude or over-demanding and, let's face it, no-one should have to put up with rudeness, especially when it is not the staff members direct fault. They always remained calm and very professional even in difficult circumstances. For me, they always have a smile and a friendly welcome (even thought they were probably thinking "Oh no, not him again").

One day, the maintenance guy Marion noticed I'd left my car door open in a heavy rain shower. He closed the door then raced up to my room to let me know. He provided me with loads of towels to dry the interior and stood out in the rain making sure I did a good job (it was torrential). Always a happy wave and a smile. Thanks for all the fridges! (private joke).

Stef, one of the receptionists (and general all round good person) stands out as the one to give you a smile, comic remark, make sure your drink is topped up and seems never to be phased by anything. She had to clear the hotel at 4am because of a fire alarm - on her own - and was praised by the firemen for taking effective control of the situation and making sure everyone was safe.

I can't list all the names but here are a few: Vicky, Tilly and her little sis and their mum, Julie, Chris (Lovely Lady - Diane says hi!), the wonderful Polish girl in Marco's (you are the best waitress), Laura, Soraya and everyone else (sorry if I haven't listed your name).

All the management staff have been professional and are making big efforts to keep the hotel tip top. Thanks for helping and making my job easier over the last year.

Cheers

Mark H
