Thank you for a great stay at The Retreat in St Helens Caravan Park. An immaculately kept caravan with everything you could need. The outside decking was lovely for having breakfast at, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable cosy beds and lovely hot shower. We loved the location of the caravan set back by the field in a quiet area. The children (and adults) loved the outdoor heated pool and it was nice the park is car-free so we were able to let the children run freely around.
It was a beautiful walk down to the beach via The Duver and everywhere on the Island is only a short drive away. The welcome and tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided on arrival are a very welcome touch. Thank you
St Helens is in convenient reach of the larger 'holiday towns' (Sandown, Ryde) but is also a nice quiet seaside town in its own right. The caravan park was neat and pleasant, with a big field for games and a modest pool. Very little needed to be brought by us. Bedding was included. Sun-chairs and barbecue were provided, along with consumables such as tea, coffee, detergents, charcoal and hand-towels. The owner was accommodating with the times for arrival and departure.
Sue you have a clean tidy and comfortable caravan. All the little extras that you put in there is no need to take the kitchen sink. Beds comfortable , good and warm duvet. Kitchen , with tea sugar and milk in the fridge, what more do you want. A big thank you.
We stayed at the retreat for 4 nights in June and we had such a wonderful week.
The caravan was spotless, tidy and super comfortable.
The location was perfect- so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed.
We where greated by the lovely owners who showed us to the caravan and told us how everything worked and all the local places near by.
The touch of biccys and milk in the fridge on arrival was so lovely and so appreciated.
The holiday park itself was super peaceful with a beautiful little field behind the caravan to walk around and spot the local wildlife. It was so relaxing.
We will definitely be returning and look forward to another holiday at the retreat.
Thank you so much once again for letting us stay in your beautiful caravan :-)
Good place to stay in to experience the caravan holiday luxury.. Sue was quite helpful with directions to any queries i had. The place is quite nice, quite and in a very great location to sea and other local amenities.. we greatly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!
The Retreat was a lovely base from which to explore the island on this October half-term short break. The booking process was smooth and we were welcomed by Sue, nice touch of providing welcome essentials pack as well.
This was our first caravan break as a family (children 10 & 6) and everyone loved it. The caravan was immaculate and very comfortable. It is well positioned so that there is only one direct neighbour and no pitches behind or in front. In late October the nights were a bit chilly but the van had excellent heating and so this was not an issue.
The park is a good size but not too large and is in a lovely spot. The bay (2 mins drive away) was beautiful and a definite hidden gem.
We did the National Trust and English Heritage sites being members and so easily filled our three days on the island. We were lucky with the weather and it was a really relaxing break.
Highly recommended to anyone thinking of booking this accomodation, you won't be disappointed.
