The small village of Felline is minutes from the Ionian Sea and near Gallipoli in Italy’s “heel”. Our hostess, Olga Pantovic was a Serbian/Italian who speaks perfect English. She is also currently the president of the Girandolapuglia B&B association. We have stayed at 5 or more of the B&B’s and they are all EXCELLENT.
We appeared at B&B Dolce Felline unannounced and out of season. No matter, in a short time Olga had prepared a room and then invited us for a glass of wine. Her dinner recommendation of Antico Monastario Trattoria was likely the best of our 3 weeks in Italy.
On our final day Olga surprised me with a cake and bottle of wine, having seen on my passport, that it was my birthday. A nice touch, that you could only expect at a B&B.
A nice complete breakfast appeared in our room each morning.
B&B Dolce Felline is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation away from congested tourist centres or large cities yet only minutes from the Adriatic, Ionian or larger centres such as Gallipoli and Lecce. We would have no hesitation in recommending B&B Dolce Felline as a base for further exploration of the Salento region of Puglia.
