“Not any more.”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

This beach was the best in the entire world, according to me about 5 years ago. Since then, the hurricane and erosion has left virtually no beach. They have put up man-made breakers to stop the erosion, but Mexico needs to rebuild this beach, as it is their problem not the Omni's.

“What beach?”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

There is no beach remaining at the Omni. According to the locals the beach erosion was not from the hurricane but was a result of adding the second marina entrance at the south end of Fatima Bay. The beach in front of Villa del Mar is excellent, large and right next door.

“Non-Existant”
Reviewed May 14, 2012

The beach in front of the Omni is not really there anymore. It has been eroded away. The ocean is pretty, and the water is warm and lovely, but it comes right up to the hotel's pool deck wall. You can walk down to the left or right and find a bit of sand, but I'm not sure you can call it the "omni" beach.

“Not to great for now”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

They are currently working very hard on getting it together, but it is not complete just yet. To make up for it though they have a beautiful pool looking over the water, just breathtaking. I expect they will be done in the next few weeks, so I would be confident that it will be in shape in the next month.

“High water”
Reviewed February 28, 2012

High water when we stopped by, beautiful to look at but not much sitting area or easy swimming areas at that point. Great alternative beach for those staying at Dreams or Catalonia to walk over to
