The cave is interesting but is difficult to traverse if you are not in reasonable shape and you can't be too tall. The guide was excellent

This place is only a few years old and clearly not discovered. We had a limited time so we just did the tour of the cenotes. The gear is provided -- water shoes and snorkel sets. David was our guide and did a great job. Only three of us on the tour so plenty of time to explore and ask questions. We sadly weren't able to stay and explore more of the activities provided, but would certainly return again and plan on a longer stay.
Also, there were no bugs while we were there due to the time of the year, but I could see how you may need bug spray during certain season.

We had an amazing experience at Aktun Chen! We have been to many other places like Aktun Chen, this was really amazing. The staff was wonderful, and full of smiles. The zip line was exciting and safe! Our guides showed us how to zip upside down, do flips and many other tricks, all with a high level of safety. The cenotes were beautifully preserved keeping the environment in mind. I can't wait to go back again with my kids.

We visited Kantun Chi in late September. We purchased the more expensive ticket option, which included lunch and transportation to and from our hotel. Our driver arrived promptly, with fruit juice and snacks waiting for us in the van. Even beach towels were provided in case we hadn't brought our own. When we arrived at the park, we were given a locker to use and assigned a friendly guide who spoke English. He took us through part 1 of the tour, where we swam and waded through a deep water underground cave. It was well-lit and we felt safe at all times with life jackets and water shoes provided.

After the guided part of the tour, we were turned loose to explore the rest of the park on our own. There were four caves to visit, all swimmable, with walking paths between them. The park has restrooms, beach chairs, and hammocks located here and there so that you could take your time and spend a relaxing day on the property if you're not in a rush to get back to your hotel. The entire place was very clean and well-maintained, and a place to get away from the crowds and noise of Cancun. When we got hungry, we wandered over to the on-site restaurant for a Mayan lunch of chicken and rice, which was very good. And when we felt ready to leave, our driver was waiting to take us back to our hotel.

This site is smaller and lesser-known than some of the other attractions in the area, and it seemed that the owners were trying hard to make sure we had a great day on their property. I wish them all the best in their business and hope to visit again someday.

This is the by far the best cenotes park in Riviera Maya, very well managed, they give you water shoes (crocs for kids) and snorkeling gear. It is best for older kids, as it requires some swimming or floating in life jackets. The caves are phenomenal.
