The Breukelen Hotel is situated about 18k from Amsterdam and 10k from Utrecht. It is right beside the A2 motorway and is really most suitable for someone touring with a hire car. There is a convenient railway station right behind the hotel for easy access to Amsterdam and Utrecht. Saves you taking the car.The quaint village of Breukelen is about 2k away and has a Friday market. Some nice restaurants there , an Aldi and an Albert Hein supermarket plus some interesting small shops. Very good restaurant in the hotel which opens late. Breakfast is good with the heavily advertised and strangly named Live Cooking.....a chef who will cook eggs etc for you. For some reason the sausages are swimming in gravy. No tea or coffee facilities in the majority of rooms....only in the new block. The bathrooms have had a makeover with new showers.A very comfortable and stylish hotel. I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE BUILDING IS IN THE SHAPE OF A CHINESE PAGODA WHICH GIVES IT AN INTERESTING CHARM AND IS INSTANTLY RECOGNISABLE.
Has wi fi but could do with some computers for guests in a public area for those who don't travel with a laptop.

Room Tip: All the rooms are fine...a little more luxury in the new block. Can be some train noise at the side n...

Although the older rooms are large and clean, with an also large bathroom, i would go for the rooms at the new block the next time.
The older rooms have no aminities: no coffeemaker, no mini-fridge, no airco, and the smallest tv, i've ever seen.
The new rooms have a big lcd screen, and are in the same building as the Wellness-Pool area, which both are beautifull and free for all guests to use. VERY NICE.(don't know if the new rooms have airco!).
If you book a room check out their website; they often have a 3=2 night packages; great value! We payed 165 Euro's for 3 nights(old rooms) breakfastbuffet included, and free use of Pool-Wellness area!

Also hopping on the Amsterdam train is just a 5 minute walk away.
Be sure to include the breakfast buffet in your booking. AWSOME!! They also have a big terrace where you can eat your breakfast, weather permitting!
Parking is free with your roomcard!

Room Tip: Go for rooms in the new block for 20€ more, and be sure to book breakfast included! You won't re...

Right on the A2, and by the train station for Amsterdam.
So this suits business and vacation travellers.
Basic rooms around 60Eu are good value.
Hotel is large and clean, and modelled like the palace in Tianenman square.
Good value 4* hotel.
Very comfortable and stylish.

stayed at this hotel many times, always ask for a room in the new block as they are bigger, have great power showers, sadly aircon not great on last visit and they do lack coffee making facilities
Hotel is next to the train station, so very easy to hop on train to Utrecht and Amsterdam - the down side is if you are a light sleeper the trains run frequently!
Restaurant food is good, breakfast is buffet style
good value

Room Tip: go for new block

We were at this Dutch hotel for an Annual General Meeting of our organisation as there are both Dutch and British members. The rooms are very nice (although no tea making facilities) I miss my early morning cuppa - not the same if you have to have room service especially when there is a cover charge per order €20.
The restaurant is great with an extensive choice. Prices are reasonable and drinks are good value as well. Breakfast is buffet service but with 'live cooking for omelettes, fried eggs etc.
The conference facilities are excellent and very well used.
A new addition to the hotel is a lovely health and well being centre with pool - great if you want to relax after a long day.
The train service is brilliant and you are only about half an hour or so from Schipol airport with 1 change but very easy.

Stayed here for a family meeting, good hotel with no frill clean rooms. Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom, only thing I missed were coffee- tea making facilities. Little things like that make a stay just a bit more comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant, was very good, and a perfect restaurant for kids too, with a self service counter for them....

Breakfast was exellent, a wide variety of choises. Would definitely stay there again, the price is right!

It was an ex chines restaurant re-organised into hotel. The hotel is about couples of min. from the train station of Breukelen and 30 min. with the train to Amsterdam and 10 min. to Ultrecht. The hotel was quite, clean with very large room, well decorated, comfort beds and large bathroom.
