There's lots of activity in this beautiful bay from boats leaving and arriving for recreation, tours and fishing. Easily accessible by taxi, Puerto Angelito is a must visit place for superb fresh seafood meals, until dusk, at Buszcos. One of the few places you can gorge yourself on oysters empanada for those that don't prefer them raw. For a quieter beach, hike over to Playa Carizalillo.

Spectacular
We left from here with Omars SportFishing and came back and swam in the crystal waters and ate our catch cooked by one of the restaurants under the palapas.
A few Coronas later and it was time for siesta!!

Yep its a must!!!!

This beach was crowded with small eating establishments ... rough, choppy water even in this isolated cove. We questioned how snorkeling would be possible even in the protected waters. Locals seem to love this beach and the small restaurants seemed geared toward them, but for everyone, this beach presents a wonderful contrast to Zicatela and Carrizalillo ... it's packed, nice sand, small and intimate, and lots of boat and local activity to watch ...

Beach is okay but we liked Carizallilo and Zicatella better. The beach is quite crowded with boats who also arrive quite fast on the shore so if you are swimming you better watch out.
Great to have a lunch, especially in Buscos (or Buzcos), something like that. Fantastic shrimp cocktails and oysters superfresh from the ocean.

This beach is about a fifteen minute walk from the middle of Puerto Escondido or a quick taxi ride. It gets a little crowded during the day since buses seem to drop off groups at the nearby parking lot. We turned left and walked past the rocks where there rather fewer people. The snorkeling in this area was the best we saw, with lots of brightly colored fish darting around the rocks just under the surface. Some coral too.
