This beach is busy with fishing boat activity . It is also a destination on the weekends / holidays for families because the water is calm and you can swim easily. Pick up a chair under and umbrella and have a drink while you watch the fisherman come and go and the pelikans out on the water. Great place for a sunrise , or a nice rest after walking from Zicatela in the heat.

The waves are never very big-- no rip tides here-- lots of Mexicans with their children-- lots of small fishing boats over night off shore and on shore here. Lotsof Activity. A fun active place to be. A bit of old Mexcio

I visited this beach many times over the 3 weeks I spent in Puerto Escondido. The surf on this beach is lower, so it is easier for swimming. However this is also where the fishing boats come in and out, so it is a busy area. One can easily access the Split Coconut Bar from this beach, which offers the BEST Ribs I've ever eaten, and great Canadian patrons. There are horse shoe games every Monday and Wednesday, a great way to meet people.

Spent several afternoons here relaxing and swimming. The access to palapas made it a worthwhile activity. You were very close to restaurants and shopping.

A number of restaurants, pubs plus local fishing boats. Next to the Adoquin where there is local shopping. Nice place to visit, shop or eat.
