A big thank you to Mark, Kep and the staff at the Mill House for making our wedding day an extremely special occasion. From great food to a stunning setting we could not have asked for more. We were planning our wedding from abroad and only had six months in which to do so. Mark was a great help in planning everything from timings to decorations and recommending photographers etc...

The Duck Race was a big sucess and something we would never have thought of but become a big part of the day.

We did not have any wedding planners or help to set up the venue and were greatly assisted by Mark and Kep, this made for an really relaxing lead up to the day and the wedding morning itself. They are so very organised and have everything taken care of and will help you to include any special touches you want to and this really takes the pressure off trying to remember, or do, everything yourself!
The food was amazing, we were able to choose our own menu and opted for a sit down meal for 50 people, everything was timed to perfection and cooked that way too!
The restaurant area at the Mill is perfect for a smaller wedding, very intimate yet you still have space to move around etc..
From start to finish, planning through to 'I do' Mark and Kep and all at The Mill House were amazing and we would not have been able to enjoy our day as much as we did without their expertise, professionalism, attention to detail but above all they are just incredibly nice people who helped us make memories that will last us a lifetime...

£6 for a cheese and tomato sandwich is a little over the top but just about acceptable if made with crusty bread from a good loaf rather than the cheap pre-sliced stuff that I was presented with at lunchtime yesterday. Very disappointing indeed as was the tiny bread roll which accompanied my partner's soup.

Last night we ate at the Millhouse inn for their steak night, there were four of us, well what can I say the food was excellent the service and speed that they maintain is nothing short of superb and the staff Jasmine Freddie and Daniel are nothing short of amazing. Altogether a fantastic night out and we will be returning soon, well done to every one especially those behind the scenes in the kitchen and thank you.

I came here in 2012 & had an absolutely superb 3 courses. This time I couldn't complaint about the food, it was great (not as good as the first time, but still very good) The chicken starter, pork main & creme brûlée was very good & much better than usual pub food. The thing that let the evening down was the service. It started off fine but then by the end of the night it was just bad. The starter came quickly, the mains came not too far behind, then things went downhill. Took nearly 30 mins to clear main plates. Asked if we wanted dessert, yes please, had the menu for 15 mins before the order was taken, but then dessert arrived quickly thank god or I would have been asking for a room to stay it was getting that late. I ordered a drink when I first went in & was at the bar, I also asked for another drink with my starter. At no point for the rest of the evening did I get asked if I wanted another, its a case if you want anything, maybe you have to shout up. Cant fault the kitchen guys, the food was very good, just tainted the evening with bad service. The 3 stars are for the food.

I have eaten at this restaurant before and I have to say it has declined markedly since then. Set in a lovely location and with a good atmosphere in the bar area. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The dining area was noisey, not very clean, and resembled a mediocre staff canteen or camp-site cafe. We went expecting a discreet and romantic evening but the dining room was awash with kids running round and shouting - not the ambience to be expected of a restaurant charging top level prices for its meals in the evening! The meal itself was mediocre, not very hot, and everything on the menu was priced in line with upper level restaurants (which the Mill House Inn is most definitely not) - £5 off the price for a main course would have more accurately reflected what this restaurant offers. Wines were overpriced for what was on offer. A pity - it used to be so much better. The only consolation was that the bill was incorrectly added up - in our favour! Not recommended.

Lovely location. The staff are fab, so friendly and helpful. We received a warm welcome. Shown to a great room with a lovely bed. Food good too. All was perfect until we went to bed!! Our room was a Superior Room.. However it was located right above the bar and we felt like we were lying in bed in the bar. It was so noisy the walls too thin. We couldn't sleep until the bar closed and the staff left for e evening!! We were woken early at 7 ish when the staff arrived or as other guests got up! Doors slamming and voices/ conversations heard! Such a shame as would have been perfect otherwise.

Room Tip: I guess the rooms at the top of hotel furthest from the bar and entrance.
