We went to Ambars and really enjoyed ourselves, for appies we had the goat cheese salad & carpaccio were wonderful and for our main course I had the filet mignon and hubby had the chicken parmesan, which he said could have been better, the wine selection is excellent, the ambiance is wonderful and Eduardo our waiter was wonderful. Veronica ~ the owner and Chef was very friendly and took the time to visit our table. It's too bad the old location was destroyed by a hurricane last year, but the new location is very nice and romantic. We stayed at Villa Santa Barbara in Barra and they recommended the restaurant, and we were not disappointed!! We would highly recommend this fine restaurant.

We have eaten here many times. No matter what you order the food tastes very good. Too bad the old location on the ocean was destroyed by erosion.

I just loved the crepes and the seafood! Wine was great also. It is quite expensive for little barra, but absolutely worth it!

This is by far the best restaurant food in Barra de Navidad !! Owner chef Veronica has a diverse and delicious menu and Eduardo, the captain of waiters, excelled. The food is fresh, prepared with love and careful attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Half Italian Half French. 100 percent DELICIOUS. The Chef and owner Veronique, might personally prepare your meal. The service and choices are excellent.
