We went to Ambars and really enjoyed ourselves, for appies we had the goat cheese salad & carpaccio were wonderful and for our main course I had the filet mignon and hubby had the chicken parmesan, which he said could have been better, the wine selection is excellent, the ambiance is wonderful and Eduardo our waiter was wonderful. Veronica ~ the owner and Chef was very friendly and took the time to visit our table. It's too bad the old location was destroyed by a hurricane last year, but the new location is very nice and romantic. We stayed at Villa Santa Barbara in Barra and they recommended the restaurant, and we were not disappointed!! We would highly recommend this fine restaurant.
