3 whole weeks and we can't wait to go back again. This is a fabulous place for a holiday with the most delightful of hosts. Sue and Chris made us so welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. Soon after we arrived they gave us a map and list of the many places to visit locally. We could easily have filled a further 3 weeks at least and never been bored.
Our party ranged in age from 26 -70 and everyone was kept happily amused. It was hard at times to drag ourselves away from the cottage gardens where it was so peaceful that relaxing became an art form!
One of our party has Parkinson's Disease and we needed accessibility. The downstairs rooms were ideal. The bathroom does not have any specific accessibility aids but we managed ok and there is space enough to have a support person in the room. The shower is fabulous but you do have to be able to step in and out. There is a door from the ground floor room straight into the garden which was lovely.
Enjoy the lovely walks from La Confiance and in particular down to Martizay the nearby village and its bar.
One of our favourite trips was to the lake at Belle Bouche for swimming, pedalos etc. this was something we would have loved to do more frequently and only reason we didn't was because there was so much else to do!!
The weather was absolutely glorious; the meals that Chris and Sue cooked delicious and all round it was a lovely lovely holiday. I really do hope we will return in the future.
Thank you Sue, Chris ( and Citronella!)

An excellent place for anyone interested to visit the surrounding area (La Brenne), particularly if you are interested in nature - birds, butterflies, flowers. Sue and Chris make a big effort to make you feel at home and they provided us with four days of excellent four-course meals, in which they take great pride, including liquid starters, and very interesting conversations in the evening. They also coped very well with the fact that we were vegetarians - for a vegetarian on holiday in France this is a really excellent place to come to.

We love this area as it is good for birdwatching and so peaceful. The food was excellent as usual and with Sue and Chris supplying breakfast, evening meal and packed lunches we didn't need to visit any shops! This is the most relaxing place we have found for a holiday and the hospitality and company are great. We will visit again as soon as we can!

The Brenne has a wealth to offer naturalists, wildlife photographers and particularly bird watchers. As wildlife photographers self-catering accommodation is always our first choice so that we a can be out photographing in the best conditions whatever the time of day. La Confiance offers the option of either self-catering, or fully catered accommodation, or even a bit of both! We accepted the offer of an evening meal on the day of our arrival and were delighted to find that Chris is a professional chef – the meal was excellent. For the rest of our week’s stay we looked after ourselves but Chris and Sue were always there to offer help or advice if needed. They both had that elusive ability to know when to appear with the offer of a bowl of cherries, and when to leave us in peace – a rare skill not often found in guest houses and even rarer in B&Bs!
The weather was wonderful, the wildlife marvellous, the comfortable gite delightful, and the evenings spent sharing a glass of wine in the garden with Sue and Chris all made for a perfect visit to the Brenne.

La Confiance is a fantastic place for nature, relaxation or cycling. It is very clean and friendly. Chris's cuisine is fantastic and Sue's cake are scrummy. This was our second stay and look forward to our third. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area check out La Confiance first. You will not be disappointed.
