We went to relax and we did. The garden and surrounds are peaceful and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the food, all home made and lots of it, beautifully cooked veggies and a lovely home made ice cream, delicious.

Our room was lovely, a large bedroom and a separate sitting area, all very pleasant and tasteful, we sat early in the morning looking out through the door with a lovely cup of tea just enjoying the view.

Well done and thank you.

We stayed at La Confiance for a week at the beginning of September 2010. The day we arrived - after a long journey - we had a lovely four course meal cooked for us by Chris. I would definitely recommend doing this. It was great to not worry about having to find a restaurant or going food shopping after a long drive, and the food was very good too. The location of La Confiance is great, you can either stay at the gite to really feel away from it all, or go out and explore the area. We would particularly liked Loches (v good market on Wednesday mornings) and Poitiers. Angles sur Anglin is not too far away and is an absolutely gorgeous little village. We had a great week and would recommend a stay with Chris & Sue.

Sue and Chris provided us with first class service, making us feel like one of the family. Superb meals with lots of home produce from the garden and homemade jams and pickles. We were supplied with maps and information of where to visit, we just didn't have time to do it all !Hopefully our next visit will be for a lot longer. Thankyou for a lovely relaxing time.

We travelled via Eurostar and train to Poitiers train station, where we had hired a car. The place is very easy to find and there is hardly any traffic on the main road.

We had a lovely few days here resting. Sue & Chris were very good hosts making sure we had a variety of options of what to do with maps and brochures to make our own choices.

Breakfast and dinner were served in a large dining room. Both were including lots of local or own grown produce home-made. Chris was able to cater to our tastes (vegetarian) and produce lovely 5 star meals worthy of any restaurant ;-) Well worth it after a long day sightseeing or walking.

Thanks Sue and Chris for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed with a 1 yr old baby for a week in early September and were made to feel thoroughly welcome by the hosts (Sue & Chris). They provided stair gate, baby cot/ play pen and suitable toys for baby Niamh who was able to roam free and play (with supervision) in their gently sloping, flower-rich, tree-filled garden. The accommodation was a lovely, quiet, characterful converted farm outbuilding with all the convenience of home. Chris' cooking was imaginative, catered for baby, vegetarian and carnivore alike and all in good company. Can't wait to go back; if your heart is intent on visiting this quiet, idyllic region, stay here!

Many thanks Sue and Chris for a most welcome and relaxing stop-over on our way from the South of France to the port of Caen.
The accomodation, food, company and area were all really great and we had a very restful and timely stay with you.
A beautiful area and we would certainly tell everyone about you.
Many thanks.
