Went for dinner with a reservation at 6:30. Arrived on time, restaurant not busy but they sat us in the bar area, no linen service, next to a noisy table of gringos. OK, nicely, I hope, asked to be moved. We were accommodated and quickly moved into the more formal room. Service was good, menus provided in English without asking. Drink order taken (a good selection of wines, mostly Mexican, more reds than whites). Wine arrived, order taken. Salad and soup selected - bean soup that was excellent and a requeson (curd) cheese salad that was also very good. Barely finished the salad and the main course arrived. Hold the timing please, a bit of break between courses would really be appreciated. We ordered a Chicken in Mole sauce and the Chefs Tuna - both were very good in taste and size. After the mains were finished we had a bit of break from being rushed as the restaurant was filling and the staff were busier. Finished off the meal with a flan and a banana custard. Overall we enjoyed our dinner but the delivery timing between courses needs work.

We celebrated a birthday in a special room and had a good meal and good cocktails and drinks, the service was as excellent as has been during the last 2 years that I know the place.

The menu is extensive, food presentation is lovely, service is efficient and attentive. The mole poblano is sublime, and I winter in Oaxaca, famous for its moles! A continental breakfast of fresh juice, fresh fruit with granola, coffee and pound cake with honey butter and house-made jams is included for hotel guests. The jugo verde/ green juice is very virtuous. We sometimes choose to add to the continental breakfast and share a breakfast choice from the menu: huevos rancheros with organic quail eggs- oh my goodness! For dinner, the degustacion of 4 moles is a delightful, strikingly beautiful, and flavorful choice. The plate comes divided into quadrants by 4 ribbons of pureed purple sweet potato. The waiter will instruct you on the order in which to eat the moles: from the more delicate mole blanco, to two more assertive different pipians, and finally to the mole poblano.
The restaurant has various dining areas and it's wise to make dinner reservations. We usually select a table in the quietest area we can find as the hard wall surfaces reflect sound. It can be quite cool depending on the weather and time of year, so best to bring a sweater/shawl. Prices for such a high quality dining experience are surprisingly reasonable. This is a fabulous choice for a special occasion meal and where we celebrate our anniversary. We noticed several family/friends celebrations during our stay. This is NOT a touristy restaurant; it's elegant and refined and seems quite popular with locals.
The hotel can be a bit hard to find as the entrance/signage is hidden by trees. It's across side street by the San Francisco shopping mall and just a bit further from the more noticeable purple Hotel Ikonik on the corner of Cinco de Mayo. It's an easy walk from the Zocalo heading toward the University area and the barrio of Analco, but one must cross a very busy highway. We stay in the hotel for a few days and relish not having to walk anywhere after a late and luxurious dinner!

we made reservations for this restaurant for my husband's birthday celebration, and we were quite disappointed. The service and food were not what I would have expected, and the restaurant was cold. The waiters were all wearing down vests, and they are running around. I wore gloves and my coat through the meal, and my mother was so cold they brought a blanket for her from the hotel. They need to invest in some space heaters. In terms of service, the receptionist was chatting with friends when we arrived, and finally acknowledged us, the food came out in a jumble of starters and main dishes, and the servers didn't seem comfortable in their roles. They were nice about substituting vegetables for meat in dishes for the vegetarians in our group. It is a pretty building, not too far from the center of town, and they have tried to have a creative menu, but the food just was not that good, the tuna was especially disappointing. The hot chocolate did not have the deep strong flavor one expects from Mexican hot chocolate (it was very weak).

Nice restaurant inside the hotel with the same name.
Food is good as well as service but I was expecting maybe a little bit more.
Food is good but not excellent like other places in Puebla.
