Among the "treasures" of this city, la Casona is one of the best. Beautiful XVIIth Century house, which hosted the famous Catharina de San Juan (mythical character in Poblano history). Great place to eat and to stay

After a long and productive day at a conference, dinner was a more than welcome prospect. My advisor had found La Casona de la China Poblana- it was within walking distance and sounded promising.

Taking our dinner here was one of the best decisions of the trip. The restaurant looked lovely, and the live guitarist helped to craft a welcoming vibe. The staff were so helpful, and the food for the whole table had rave reviews! Definitely stop by this place!

We found this a block or so from our hotel. Close to the center of town, the food and ambiance were perfect after a long day at a conference. On a Friday night there was a talented singer and acoustic guitar. Comfortable, excellent service, and delicious food.

We dined here a couple times and enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty. Though they did not have vegetarian options on the menu they were willing to make adjustments to my diet when requested. The food is authentic so don't go thinking you are going to get an TexMex enchilada. Mole' is king here and it comes in so many forms. Check out theirs.
