“Unique and marvelous work of art”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

Dazzling and detailed in all aspects. I've never seen so much gold in one place used so artistically. I've been there at three different times of day, and the way the sunlight highlights the gold changes the way you see the art. Don't miss this place.

“A beautiful chapel to see”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

An amazingly beautiful chapel of gold and dedicated to Our Lady. This is by far one of the most beautiful chapels I have ever seen. This is a must visit for Puebla churches.

“wow”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

We were in the Vatican exactly a year ago and visited St. Peters Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. The Rosary Chapel has the same wow factor. Far, far smaller but it forces you to just stand there and gaze in awe at the gold. By far the most impressive one we have seen in Mexico.
Make sure that when you enter the main cathedral, you go to the front and then head left, into the chapel. We almost forgot. The main cathedral is nice but not nearly as sensational.

“Beautiful, a must see!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

The Santo Domingo Church isn't much to see on the outside, at least not compare with many others around Puebla. But inside lies a gem -- the Capilla del Rosario. By all means take some time to spend here -- the chapel is beautiful, the gilding and artwork superb, it will take your breath away.

“wonderful”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

This is the most exquisite example of spanish baroque in the new world: the gilded decorations are breathtaking. Visit this place in the evening when it is illuminated by spots: the gold will shine in your eyes.
