Our private guide took us to visit the Biblioteca. Wow, it was incredible and we would have never known that it was there (You have to know where to find it). Very interesting and worth a visit.

“An exquisite library!”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

The oldest library in the Americas does not disappoint - beauty interior, texts, scrolls and books in the original Latin organization style. Perfect condition. If you love books and intellectual history you will need to see this.

“Biblioteca Palafoxiana”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

You have to visit this library if books are important to you! It's the oldest library in its original place in the Américas. Since I'm a librarian it was heaven to me. You'll be amazed by the beautiful, original Talavera tiles and furnishings, not to mention the enormous collection of vintage works.

“Awesome”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

Small but wonderful. Just by breathing near the books you feel they're gonna turn into dust. Some are 15th Century books.

“Oldest library in Latin America!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

It's super interesting and worth making the short visit. It's fascinating and, if you speak Spanish, the guards will answer all sorts of interesting questions about the library.
