This monumental Cathedral is close to "zocalo" (the principal square), on the 16 de septiembre street. His architecture is similar to the Cathedral in Mexico city. Inside is better with his unique religiuos paints, "portal del altar mayor", and one special place can be visit it, in a holidays or Big dates, requiere special order.
Therein has "renacentista, barroco, y necláscico" art. Two towers highest in Mexico, in one tower with his Maria bell.

The cathedral is located in Zocalo, the heart of the city of Puebla. Visitors are more than welcome to enter and admire the beauty of the architecture and the history of the cathedral, which was begun in the 1530s.

Just beside the Zocalo (central place of Puebla) constructed on ruins of pre-hispanic temples.
Impressive but not slaying the site. Inside as all Curches in Mexico showing the wealth the spaniards exploited from the indigene population. I prefer this one to the Cathedral in Mexico City.

A must see in Puebla. I never seen anything as impressive, since my trip to the pyramids of Egypt. Really huge work of art.

The Cathedral is impressive - unsurprising as most of the huge edifices constructed by the Spanish in Mexico were built with the express purpose of impressing. It is not quite as impressive as the Catedral Metropolitana in the centre.
