“The place for REAL Talevera”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

I visited Ceramica Uriate with an expat group during Christmas. We were treated to a special tour of the facility not usually open to the public where we learned the history of and how Talevera is made. In a city filled with fake Talevera, it was a treat to visit the "real" thing. They have a great selection of items for sale and there is a museum of much earlier pieces if you can get in to see it. The employees are great too and are happy to help.

“Tour of the ceramics factory!”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

Fabulous, for around $3.50 USD the young woman at reception will take you on a tour of the factory to see these hand thrown, hand-painted dishes made from start to finish. Fascinating...and then you can buy your own beautiful pieces in the showroom...a great destination with an unusual activity, plus shopping!
