“amazing view of the arena”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

Food was good, they had a nice wine list. Excellent service. The best thing was the view of the arena. We sat inside with the view of the arena and it was beautiful. We went to Bar Botarel first for a drink, which I highly recommend, its where they use to keep the bulls, beautiful archways throughout. Its is definitely worth a visit even if you just go for a coffee.

“Don't eat hear”

If you like to eat with your hat and coat on eat here. If you like reheated food eat here. The atmosphere is lovely but overpriced especially with no heat.

“A Touch of Class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2013

La Quinta Real hotel us built on the remains of the old bull ring in Zacatecas. The tiered restaurant overlooks the bull ring itself and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is excellent and the service is even better. Whether you are having an intimate dinner for two or enjoying dining with a group of friends, you will be sure to enjoy this fine restaurant. And you can make your experience even better by booking a room in the hotel so to simplify finding your way to bed after a fine meal and a glass or two of wine.

“Great Atmosphere, Food OK”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

Dinner choice for a Sunday evening. Nice location could have been nicer if the aqueduct which acts as a backdrop was lighted at night. The restaurant has tiered seating modified from the bull ring tiers. There were only 3 tables dining total during our visit.
The restaurant:
Good comfortable seating, lovely table layout, good service. We all had the chopped cactus salad, tasty. Two orders of the beef filet, (250 grams) were cooked as ordered accompanied with baby red potatoes and glazed mixed vegetables were fine. The filet stuffed with cheese, potatoes and spices would not be ordered again. The meal was washed down with a bottle of 2009 Alamos Argentinian Malbec (good choice at $426p) and tap water. Good clean washrooms, gorgeous hotel. Go to the restaurant for the ambience.
