If you go to Zacatecas, you most definitely wanna try the Teleférico. With it, you are gonna get an incredible aerial view of the city.. plus, you end at another mountain in which there's a little pretty church and a little mountain you can climb if you are into climbing!
Best pictures from Zacatecas are from there. You can see all the peaks of the various churches around the city and the amazing cathedral!

First of all the 'chairlift' from one side of the city valley to the other is just a nice and cheap way to see the city if you are there. One side is among the city and an easy stroll through quaint streets and sidewalks. The other side which it takes you to is the high point of the city and offers great views of the city. There is an old fortress now a museum, a LONG zipline (and i mean long), places to eat and some rocks to climb if you chose to climb a little higher. If you are near Zacatecas i would suggest you go. It is different from most mexican cities. Lots of beautiful architecture, comfortable weather, tour buses and bull fighting (if thats your thing), many charming cafes and well lit buildings at night. The nightlife was not my favorite but they had a few discos and pubs. I think couples might enjoy this place more.

This is a great way to see the city of Zacatecas- if you're not afraid of heights. Also it is very cool at night!

Though it can be a hassle walking up the stair filled streets, since we didn't drive to it, it was one of the highlights of the trip. You can take a round trip on it for $100 pesos. if you drive and get there at a reasonable hour you can do the mine right next door to it (everything in the area closes at 6). We decided to just take it up and got a taxi back down to the city. In the Teleferico a guide is provided, providing a tip is recommended. He gives you basic information on Zacatecas and little quips. Also mentions the must do museums. Definitely recommend it.

My wife and I took the Teléferico from the Mina El Edén to the Cerro de la Bufa on November 7, 2011. The guide was bored, the view of Zacatecas was nice, but once is enough.
