“Strange Museography but just wow”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

A collection capital cities should envy in a beautiful colonial setting. A brilliant mix of cultural and historical artifacts and stunning lesser known works by the great and the good of the art world. Hard to believe it's nestling off a main road in this unsung city on the world stage.

“Brilliant selection!”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

This museum has a very wide selection of surrealist art - including some amazing works by Miro and Braque, Dali and Kandinsky. It's extremely well laid out and contains tonnes of information on each artist and the surrealism movement. It also displays a lot of amazing sculptures, Asian artists and Indian religious artefacts. Well worth the entry fee of 30 pesos.

“A treasure to visit !”
Reviewed July 24, 2003

The Pedro Coronel Museum is more than worth the effort to visit. The admission is 20 Pesos ($2.00) The Museum is located in the former convent of Santo Domingo. ( Centro District ) The collections include pre-Hispanic pieces when particularly interested me. There are also collections of the modern masters, Dali, Giacometti, Cagall, Picasso, Magritte and Miro. It is my understanding that Pedro Coronel acquired this excellent collection by trading his works of art for the acquired works.
