My husband and I had been wanting to try this restaurant ever since we first saw it and I wish we had made a point of coming there sooner. What a great find! With the music, creative decor and delicious, authentic Cuban food, you could think you're in a restaurant in Havana. Although the special set menu (at $180 pesos/person) seemed very tempting, neither of us were hungry enough for all of that, so we chose to split a plantain soup, with rolls that were brought to the table, followed by Ropa Vieja (the chicken version). We enjoyed the soup with the rolls and the Ropa Vieja was truly wonderful! The entrée also came with a fried plantain strip and rice and beans. The beans, by the way, seasoned with the chef's special sofrito recipe, were the best we've had anywhere in Mexico. For dessert we had the cream cheese mousse with a blackberry sauce. Yum! In spite of the fact that we split everything, we were completely satisfied and the next time we'll go hungrier so we can try more of the menu. We'd also like to try their breakfast sometime!
