“La dolce vita in Morelia”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

Pulcinella is not to be missed when you are in Morelia. I have been three or four times since they moved to the city and have always been delighted and amazed to find such wonderful fare so far from Napoli. The Italian meatballs are fabulous, and the pastas perfectly prepared al dente. And the place itself is beautiful--elegant and yet comfortable and romantic. Great place for an evening of quiet conversation with one friend or raucous laughter with a posse. By far my favorite restaurant in Morelia.

“Bravo! Bella! Best!”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

I've eaten here many times since they opened and I love it each and every time.
The food is exquisite, the place the gorgeous, the service is gracious...what else
could you want!

The building is open with 3 seating areas. They have my favorite wine. The owner's wife
makes the best desserts. They make their own sausage. (my grandfather did also so I don't easily say other's is as good as Grandpa's was...but theirs IS!)

I've always had the salmon with pesto (creamy or plain) but last night I had the pizza...and WOW I see what everyone is raving about! I asked the chef~~and he has the dough rise 2x for lengthy periods of time..hence the excellence whereby you LEAVE NO PIZZA BONES...HAHA!
You eat the crust, every bite, it is so delicious!!!

I have a Posada here and I do tell guests about this place, and everyone who goes there raves about the food...and they return sometimes 2 or 3 times each visit.

I am so lucky this place is only 3-1/2 blocks from my posada, Casona Rosa!
Consider yourself lucky too by visiting this charming establishment and
you will be saying bravo..bella..the best also!

“Neapolitan Pizza in Morelia”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Pizza fired up in a homemade pizza oven by Chef Massimo Gigli who is as Italian as his product. The ambience is pure Morelia-soaring ceilings, stone columns, beautiful patio. The service is wonderful, the beer is cold, and Chef Massimo, who spent time in Denver, can help you out with any language bumps.

“Great new addition to the Morelia dining scene.”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

After many local recommendations we went twice to Pulcinella in the past week. Both times were utterly delightful. The pizzas were the best we've had by far in Morelia-owner Massimo had the wood-fired oven built here according to a blueprint from Napoli, his home town. Antipasti were superb, and the seafood pasta exemplary. They make their own bread too, which when brushed with a little olive oil and put in the oven for 30 seconds is terrific.

They've only been open for a few months but are already hitting on all cylinders. Instantly one of our favorites to go to in Morelia. I can't wait to go tomorrow.

“Best Italian food in Morelia”
Reviewed March 9, 2012

I loved Pulcinella when they were in Patzcuaro and their Morelia is better and more spacious. They have added woodfired pizza and expanded their menu. Service was excellent and they have a great selection of wines by the glass. Their Salmon with pesto sauce is excellent and their pizza is the best around.
