A well constructed and maintained path takes you to a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean rushing into a narrow inlet set among high cliffs. It was a great experience to watch sea turtles breaking the surface of this clear turquoise sea then diving back below to feed.......Magic!!

We took the North Gorge on a beautiful Thursday afternoon in April and barely saw a soul the whole time we were there.

The views are breathtakingly beautiful, truly some of natures best. Unspoiled, rugged and stunning views over the Pacific Ocean.

We managed to spot some wild turtles too, but that was an added bonus. The walk itself was good for the soul :-)

This is a lovely walk and during whale season you can be lucky and see whales quite close into shore. Saw quite a few breaching and moving around - still need binoculars to see clearly but this walk has some good lookout areas to stop and enjoy. The gorge itself usually has a few turtles and it's lovely yo sit and watch them bobbing around. At the right time of year you'll also see manta rays - a real thrill.

The only thing missing for us was the manta rays. We got to tick all of the other wildlife off the list. The boardwalk is through some beautiful country.

Dolphins, turtles, kangaroos. I've seen all of these many times on this walk. Go early in the morning or later in the evening to see the best wildlife. So easy, yet such a great walk.
