“pleasant walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

We did see a few whales in the distance, and the walk was beautiful around the gorge. Many photo opportunities and on the eastern side, the view of the beach stretching south was magnificient.

“Whales! Whales! Whales!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

Saw at least 50 whales over 2 days - One tail slapped for at least 20 minutes! I didn't see any sealife in the gorge itself - maybe because the water was rough. You can enter the walk from both ends to see the ocean views. Middle gorge section NOT suitable for a pram due to many stairs!

“Stunning views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

The walk for the Gorge walk starts at the top of Point Lookout where the cafes and restaurants are. We had trouble locating it as there isn't very good signage. The walk takes you around the headland then around the gorge which is all very beautiful and breathtaking. The boardwalk is in excellent condition and wraps the coastline allowing many vantage points to spot whales, dolphins and turtles. Sit and take in the view, don't rush it.

“Definitely worthy of your time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Enjoyable short hike - plenty of stairs to get you breathing but not too many that youngsters can't manage. Lots to see if you know what you're looking at - shame there aren't informative signs along the whole walk. Great spot for whale watching or looking down Main Beach. Be sure to stop at whale rock and listen for the blowhole :)

Right across the road from the cafe and plenty of parking so no excuse not to!

“Lovely walk, particularly as the sun was going down.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

A lovely short walk of about 35 mins. Although you can't see the sun setting from this point, the colours in the sky were beautiful and we were able to get some fabulous photos.
