As the title says its a small but interest museum.

Worth a visit if in the area.

A nice shop and there was a lovely lady working there when we visited.

Free to enter and easy to find. Helpful guide on duty talked about some of the artifacts on display. Watched short film about Pictish history and places to visit. Good collection of huge carved stones. Got a chance to play a small harp and was more tuneful than I thought I would be! Upstairs has a display of artwork by George Bain.

Run by enthusiastic volunteers, this little museum focuses mainly on Pict history, as I first learnt from a newly-published book: Exploring the NC500. Now understand why the Glenmorangie whisky company chose the celtic design behind its image.
Upstairs are the records and pictures related to George Bain, who studied the Pictish art phenomena.
Great for children and families, with lots of interactive activities. And friendly volunteers so keen to explain things, too: definitely worth a call.

We were fortunate enough to have Allistair on duty when we arrived at the Museum. He provided us with a large amount of interesting details regarding the carvings and their histories. So happy that we stopped by. It is not a large museum but you could spend 2 hours or more there!
