“Lovely evening”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Dinner with Mother and close friend. Varied menu, with a good selection, impression local produce used and imaginative combinations. Nicely presented, ideal portion size, good service, nice atmosphere with view of the seafront and sea. Overall a very pleasant experience.

“Not what we hoped for”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We went in for a quick bit of lunch on a Sunday. The menu was fairly limited but it all sounded lovely. As we were just in for lunch we just ordered a Cullen Skink each, something I usually find very filling and tasty. What we got was a bowl of hot cream with little bits of smoked fish plonked in. there was no thickness to the broth, and it was far too creamy and no taste of the lovely smokey fish we expected. Neither of us finished our soups as it was too sweet and creamy, but it did come with a nice big chunk of bread which filled us up. Have heard good reports from this place from friends and family so will definitely give it another chance. Service was friendly, and the menu is promising. Hopefully the next visit will redeeem the poor cullen skink. At £5 a bowl we expected better.

“Definately be back”

Not in Inverness at all. On the Black Isle on the shore side of Rosemarkie Beach. Had an amazing lunch lots of choices using locally sourced ingredients. Staff were exceptional and also a pleasure to engage with. Have recommended to lots of people already. Don't miss this one if your in the area

“Great meal”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Had a great evening meal here. a pleasant walk from the nearby campsite, the crofters is right across the road from the bay so uninterrupted view during our meal.
Staff were really friendly and attentive, food was excellent with a good choice of quality meals. portions were generous. Meat was locally sourced coming from the local Deli I believe (?)
restaurant itself was nicely decorated and furnished and felt cosy, its not large and is very popular so make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Parking is on-street but should not be a problem, there is a small carpark adjacent the entrance.
we were well impressed and will return if we are nearby.
as said elsewhere, the Crofters is in Rosemarkie, not in Inverness itself - this is a bit misleading (but not the fault of Crofters)
