“Definately be back”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Not in Inverness at all. On the Black Isle on the shore side of Rosemarkie Beach. Had an amazing lunch lots of choices using locally sourced ingredients. Staff were exceptional and also a pleasure to engage with. Have recommended to lots of people already. Don't miss this one if your in the area

“Great meal”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Had a great evening meal here. a pleasant walk from the nearby campsite, the crofters is right across the road from the bay so uninterrupted view during our meal.
Staff were really friendly and attentive, food was excellent with a good choice of quality meals. portions were generous. Meat was locally sourced coming from the local Deli I believe (?)
restaurant itself was nicely decorated and furnished and felt cosy, its not large and is very popular so make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Parking is on-street but should not be a problem, there is a small carpark adjacent the entrance.
we were well impressed and will return if we are nearby.
as said elsewhere, the Crofters is in Rosemarkie, not in Inverness itself - this is a bit misleading (but not the fault of Crofters)

“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Just finished an excellent lunch here on our tour of Scotland. Cannot compliment the entire experience enough, the staff couldn't have been more attentive and the food was exceptional. My husbands mussels were fantastic and one of the best mariniere sauces I have tasted in a long time. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich, again cooked to perfection and very tasty. How great to find such quality of cooking at such good value for money. I understand the restaurant is under new management, I wish them every success and if you are in the area, do not miss an opportunity to eat here. Shame they are 630 miles away from where we live!

“Fantastic main courses, desserts pretty average”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

This was the first time I've been back in Crofters since it changed hands a while ago. It was a weekday evening without a reservation and was still fairly busy. The main meals were absolutely delicious and the portions very generous. The desserts were nothing special though. Service was good and staff were friendly and polite.

From the outside it is very inviting and has an enviable location with views out over the sea. However, the inside is a little dated and could do with a makeover.

I would recommend it to friends and we'll definitely go back and will try it during a lunchtime too.

“Lovely food in a lovely new restaurant”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

A lovely lunch in the Crofters Bistro today - but it is Rosemarkie, Black Isle, not Inverness! Great location, very good service and will definitely return. Food sourced locally and a great selection - from sandwiches to full lunch choices. Used to be a small cafe, but has been a full blown restaurant since April. Would definitely recommend booking if you were looking to eat there in the evening or on a Sunday, as I can imagine that this lovely restaurant will get very busy at times.
