We arrived Saturday May 17th, 2014 at 1:30 to find only 4 customers in this tiny little 'old' house that's been converted to a restaurant. At the counter, as we looked over the menu (been there once before) we were advised that they were 'out of' the soup of the day as they'd just finished their rush. We ordered a Black Forest Ham sandwich on rye and a veggie wrap with a caramello and apple cider to drink. We noticed that she wrote our order on a pink post-it note. We paid and were standing waiting when she advised us to take a seat and they'd bring it out to us. We picked up one of the Foothills Country Visitor's Guides and starting going through it, not noticing the time go by. More customers arrived. 2 girls came in, got drinks and sat next to the front window. 3 guys showed up, ordered, got their drinks right away and their sandwich orders were served to them immediately. Another table of 4 arrived and when they got their drinks delivered immediately, we checked to see where our order was. The response, 'We lost the sticky note'. If we hadn't already paid, we would have left. We finally got our drinks at 2:00pm. Sandwiches 10 minutes later. They did apologize, but that was too little too late. They were too busy socializing to notice that customers were not being attended to. The food was average and the service poor. Doubt we'll be back as there are many more options in the area.
