So picturesque and lovely to be able to take the dog onto one of the beaches in summer time. Lots of space and rock pools when the tide is out. Enough sandy area left to enjoy when the tide comes in. Sheltered in harbour.

Quiet, sandy, pretty and enjoyed eating an ice cream there. You can let dogs on the beach which in July is a real bonus.

At the end of a two mile lane having come through Marlborough, the trip down into Hope Cove Beach is worth every bend and reverse-to-get-out-of-the-way-of-traffic manoeuvre! The clear water of the bay and the surrounding steep slopes, make this a delightful place to visit. And with the Sun Bay Hotel and restaurant just a few yards up the hill next to the pay and display car-park, and with access to the coastal path alongside the old lifeboat building on the front, this is a charming and delightful discovery on the South Devon coast!

Liked the friendliness of all staff from the bar to the domestics. Found food to be good quality and well cooked and presented. Would recommend staying at the Hope & Anchor.
