“No playground!”
Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

Not a very nice beach! Also a current spring break magazine said it was an excellent beach for families especially because of the playground. We took an expensive cab ride there to find that there was no playground and hadn't been for years. The beach itself was dismal, littered and didn't seem like the cleanest place to swim with all the boats coming in and out of marina.

“Lots of changes!!”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

We visited La Playita for the first time several years ago. We go back every year to see the changes. This year showed the biggest change with a new hotel taking over most of the port. No longer a sleepy little fishing village!!

“Just go!”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

This is one of the highlights of the local area. Make time to walk the beautiful walkway around the marina. Eat at the Drunken Sailor. Time it so you see the catch of the day coming into the filleting station, around 12-2. And you will have a perfect day. Or go later and watch a spectacular sunset from the beach! Perfect.
