“A nice walk along the estuary.”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

From San Jose to the beach, you can walk along the Estuary. there is lots of wildlife to see, lots of exotic birds. The Estuary is accessed via the road to the East cape, right at the bridge, across from a Pemex gas station. It is about a 20 minute walk out to the ocean, and the start of Hotel Beach, right at the Holiday Inn. The Estuary is very quite, and tourists, and locals walk or ride bicycles along the path.
A great way to walk to the beach, from downtown San Jose.

“Great Nature walk”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Don't miss the dunes while visiting here--but the walk along the estuary is very interesting--if you are a bird watcher there are lots of ducks egrets falcons and cormorants to look for.The walk is constantly being improved over the years.

“Very nice out of the way place”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

My husband and I walked from our hotel to the estuary. There is a walkway along side the estuary where you could see several different types of birds. A very calming walk.

“lovely spot for a walk”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

we stayed right next door at the Holiday Inn so were very lucky to walk here every day after sunrise and at sunset are best. pathways lead to town but also try going along the shore line on the beach side to the end and then cut across to the beach. so peaceful at this end compare to towards the other hotels.

“Great place to walk around and take pictures”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

This place is great if you enjoy birds and just taking a nice walk. Its free and there were lots of different birds. I got great pictures of an Osprey, Egret, Blue Heron, and some more. We didn't stay long because it was starting to get dark but it was worth it.
