“Walk to San Jose”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

This was located right next to our hotel. It is nicely paved and a 10 minute walk into San Jose. Not too much extraordinary bird sightings, but was calm and cooler than walking the main road into town.

“Nice peaceful walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

Great place to bird watch close to the Holiday Inn Hotel. Trail leads to the town center. If you can, try to pick up some trash along the way to make it more enjoyable for future visitors.

“good walk but don't go out of your way”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

We stayed close to this so it was not out of the way...if you are in the area go for the walk. We saw some birds and it was pretty but I wouldn't go out of your way.

“alternate walk.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

the path along the estuary is almost parallel to the sidewalk going into town. i was told by the woman at the entrance that i would see many different type of birds and there were only a few. there is another path along the ocean side, perhaps i'd find more over there. i was also told that there had been a hurricane and a fire in the estuary that the local groups were still trying to clean up. there is no tree cover for the path so it was quite hot. i will go back as it was a nice change when walking into town.

“Lots of nature sighting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

I walk here every other day. The city has cleaned up the walking trail for better access. You can walk all the way to the beach from downtown SJDC. Numerous birds species and Flora Fauna.
