“First Visit...Won't Be Last!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant offers a refreshing change...specifically in cuisine, but does not loose touch of where you are...in Mexico, on the water.

Note that they are not open on Monday and Tuesday, and other days, do not open until noon. Go early enough to grab a table on the upper deck so that you have a good view of the harbor. The breeze was not cooling enough on the lower level the day we visited.

We started with cocktails, which included margaritas. For a sweeter twist, I suggest the hibiscus margarita! For lunch, go for the shrimp burger, shrimp and palm quesadilla, or any variety of tacos. You can request your shrimp/fish tacos fried or grilled even though the menu will not outright state it. Portions are good. Don't over order!

Prices are reasonable and service, while a bit slow, is friendly. Don't let this deter you from a visit to the marina and the Drunken Sailor. This will stay at the top of regular places to eat and will be back soon!

“Great food, fun spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

This little place is quite out of the way, but easy to find if you follow the directions on their website. It is super casual - plastic tables and chairs. The view of the marina and surrounding landscape is lovely. Food is super fresh and delicious. Hibiscus margaritas are yummy. Service adequate.

“Excellent Innovative Food in a Cool Funky Palapa overlooking the Marina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Look for a bright turquoise building along the dusty road on the east side of the marina. El Marinero Borracho (the drunken sailor) is worth the ride! The tacos chine and shrimp burgers are outstanding and the freshly made innovative salsas top everything off beautifully. Staff is very friendly and helpful and prices are totally reasonable. A great place to watch the sunset!

“Out of the way, but worth it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

Service was terrific and the food was off the charts. I had passed this place many times on my way to the marina during the day. Finally stopped for dinner. Don't let the appearance fool you, it is a great find.

“Awesome Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

Stopped here for lunch on February 26th after a really long walk from San Jose Del Cabo (Holiday Inn Resort) the cold Pacifico's really hit the spot. Our waitress and the owner were just awesome, I asked if the fish that was breaded in Panko had flour in it and before I could say anything she looks at me a says gluten? ooh will just grill it!! It was the best fish I've ever had anywhere!!!! she said it was yellowtail caught that morning, just awesome! my wife and friends all had either the fish and chips or fish and shrimp taco's and everyone loved it.

It's not the easiest place to get to, directly across the marina from the Container Bar but it's well worth every step once you get there.

I wish I could remember the owners name (blonde hair) keep doing what your doing, it was the best fish we ever had.....thanks again!!
