Nicole, the owner and chef, has grown up in the hospitality industry. She has a flair for making simple food tasty. I enjoyed her mushroom enchilada; palm heart enchilada; fish taco; shrimp taco and the flan. Total with a beer, peso 170. What a deal for such quality!! Thank you Nicole!!

The local bus 5 stops in front of the door. It's a couple of doors away from the local mini market.

You can enjoy lunch, walk up the road to see the fishing tour boats come in with the day's catch and you can swim in the sheltered harbour. There are clean toilets for changing into your swim suit in the building where the fish are cleaned.

El Marinero Borracho is located on the marina in Puerto Los Cabos. If you take the dirt road toward El Ganzo the restaurant is located on your left next to the bait and tackle shop with the shark outside. This is the new establishment of Nicole. Nicole used to be at Flora Farms and is known to many locals and frequent visitors to the area. She is incredibly friendly and helpful and always fun to chat with.
Her restaurant is fantastic. It is a ceviche and taco restaurant. The setting is rustic and relaxed and the food is out of this world as the fish is ultra fresh and simply prepared but exactly as it is meant to be. The shrimp and fish ceviche on a tostado is delicious. But the real show stopper is the panko crusted shrimp, fish, and recently artichoke heart tacos. The taco is light and translucent. The fish delicious and the filling is fresh, crisp and organic. Top this off with killer margeritas and a Pacifico beer and you are in fish taco heaven.
There is no doubt that El Marinero Borracho is rapidly becoming a local favorite and word is spreading quickly. Saturday nights are dance night and that goes on until the wee hours of the morning.
This is a wonderful, relaxed restaurant with absolutely no pretension. It is just about great food, beautifully prepared. Pure and simple. Stop in and see Nicole. You won't be disappointed

Dining at The Drunken Sailor was one of the highlights of our visit to San Jose Del Cabo. Nicole creates delicious food in a laid back atmosphere. We ordered the fish tacos. The food is very good and Nicole's welcoming energy can be felt in the food she prepares. We watched one of the most beautiful sunsets we had ever seen from upstairs in her restaurant.

I highly recommend dining at The Drunken Sailor while visiting San Jose Del Cabo. You will be glad that you did!

We met our son Josh who was sailing from San Francisco to San Jose del Cabo at the Restaurant :
"the Drunken Sailor" at the San Jose new Marina. Nicole, the owner chef did everything possible to make us feel at home and she cooked a wonderful meal for us. My son having been at sea for a couple of weeks was craving vegetables and Nicole made the most wonderful platters laden with crispy fresh green beans, shredded cabbage and ....unbelievable fish. We often travel to Mexico and the only vegetables (if you even get any) are soggy, limp and overcooked. The atmosphere at the Drunken Sailor is friendly and warm, Nicole became an instant friend. She keeps her prices very reasonable and treats everyone like family. We eat there several times and will go back. When you visit San Jose Del Cabo, do not miss going there. It is open from noon to 10 pm and closed on Mon and Tue. It is located next to the Jansen fish and tackle shop at the new Marina, cannot miss it! No need for reservations.
