Awesome lunch spot with great views just off the main highway. Definitely would check it out for lunch and a beer / margarita.

La Marea is a casual place to enjoy good food and a ice cold beer with a white water view of the south east coast line. I just returned from Cabo Pulmo, scuba diving, and wanted to stop for lunch. I was so glad I stoped here. The beer is ice cold and with a order a nachos and French fries it was perfect. The Resturant is located next to the CostaAzual surf shop, across from Zippers surf spot. I hope everyone will stop by and give it a try!!

One can't help but love the concept behind La Marea which is to have a restaurant for locals where one can stop in to have some of the best dishes of Cabo cuisine. Gabriel, the manager, is a seriously good guy. Very friendly and helpful and obviously quite proud of his establishment, as well he should be. As Gabriel told us, first he starts with the very best fish he can source. Then attention to detail in the preparation from some old family recipes. And finally served at your table with no fuss. Just great, delicious, honest food. The ceviche especial is delicious. The tuna tartare with mango and avocado is outstanding and the serving will easily satisfy at least four people. We also had the grilled octopus. Without question the best prepared octopus in Cabo. Gabriel was kind enough to share with me the secret to its tenderness and I will shamelessly copy the recipe to the tee.
The service is incredibly friendly. Fernando and Otto did a great job taking care of our table and frequently enquired if everything was to our satisfaction. David, Marco and Omar added to the experience.
Although only 1 year old, La Marea already feels like a Cabo tradition. This is what Cabo is all about. Great food at a reasonable price and great people in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Go as soon as you possibly can. You will not be disappointed
