I have stayed at the Royal Solaris for the past 3 years. For the money and the amount of service provided by the Royal Solaris....it's totally worth the money. Excellent food and the best hospitality you can find. You will not find that kind of hospitality where I am from.

I would also like to say Alex Anaya is an excellent host. Alex is a easy going and a take care of his people kind of a guy. Great job Alex!!! See ya' next year!!!

My family and I had stayed in the Royal Solaris March 1-4...everything was well except Sunday night when we were evacuated due to an electrical fire. All the staff members were running around like chickens with no heads. Clearly they had never gone over emergency plan. Manager never came out and provided any time of explanation in regards to the fire or the guests who were not able to return to their rooms. I know things happen that can't be avoided but damn this hotel was so unprofessional and were lost when it came to this incident...hate to see how they would act when there be a bigger emergency. During this long wait time to return to our rooms; they said that the firefighters and a staff member that to go into every room to make sure it was OK. Well they certainly did and they left all lights on; doors open and black footprints all on the bed and room. The part that made me mad the most is when I realize the next day as I was packing that my camera had been stolen during the time when they were checking the rooms. Next day made a police and advise wanted to hear back something and yet to hear anything....my advise I would think twice about staying and risk something getting stolen and by the way food SUCKS!!!

When we arrived at the Royal Solaris it took three times to finally find a room for us that was comfortable to stay in. The two previous ones had wet paint, broken fridges and safe. We were only there for 2 days when a fire broke out in the resort. There were no fire alarms or back up lighting. Thank goodness it was at 8:30 pm as it could have been pretty severe if it was in the middle of the night while everyone was sleeping. We stood outside for 5 hours and finally we were shuttled into the theatre while the entertainment staff tried to calm the guests down and tried to explain what was happening. As far as I am concerned the management staff should have been the ones to talk to everyone. We were then shuttled to another hotel, stood in line for 2 1.2 hrs to be told there were no rooms. They then brought us to another hotel and it didn't even have a beach or even a decent pool area. When we called the next morning they told us not to come back but to stay in our rooms until someone contacted us later that day. This was not acceptable. They had no compassion for us and were not willing to help out. We went back to the Royal Solaris to argue several times, got nowhere and found out that people who were just arriving were getting rooms while we were not. Doesn't seem like good business to me. I would not recommend this resort at all. There was even a fire back in December that we didn't know about.

Indeed we had an electrical fire in one of the service room which caused the burning of plastic material which emitted strong odor and smoke that spread into some room floors.

The fire detection system alerted us in a timely manner. Also the Civil Protection Team and the Fire Brigade conducted an inspection of all affected areas and the surroundings of the hotel.
We didn't have any fire in December, we don't know were you get this misinformation

Please accept our apologies for this incident, we know you understand that was an unexpected situation.

Just returned from this hotel(Royal Solaris) --I too can also say that it was a very stressful situation to have dealt with while being on a holiday.I agree totally with the other reviews and their comments about how management dealt with the situation. My hat is tipped to the entertain crew that did everything they could to answer our questions and offer use some comfort.Hoping this was a learning experience for the hotel --maybe some training for their front line workers will be put in place for the future--totally disappointed in how we were shuffled like cattle in the middle of the night to destinations not even close to what we had booked and paid for--when you work hard all year long to be able to go on these winter holiday getaways and have something like this happen--its just plain disheartening--since our return home I have been in touch with our tour company and have been advised of how to file for compensation--i was told you have 30 days to start a clain and to bear with them as the tour companies are trying to colaborate with the holiday to settle the claims---

When we arrived at the Roay Solaris Los Cabos we were greeted by Armando. Armando took us under his wing for the week and made sure everything met our approval. The accommodations were extremely nice and our "maid" took very good care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. The all inclusive included meals and drinks. Food was good but have to admit that I believe they must have left out the alcohol in the drinks as we drank way too many not to feel a "buzz" or anything. Overall the trip was very good and Armando was the best. Yes, we were there for the "fire" and I feel they did a good job. The fire alarm was kind of a beeping sound so we weren't certain of what it was but when we went out on the balcony, we were told to get downstairs. Two of the hotel employees came to our room to make sure that we made it outside safely. I truly feel the vacation is what one makes of it and we made the best of it by enjoying the poolside and the friendliest of the guests and the helpfulness of the staff. Would I recommend it, yes I would.

Large clean rooms, good service, staff friendly, good food, good price, nice location, beautiful gounds, good beach, big play area for kids, one adults only area, large pools, almost perfect except:

They try very hard to get you to join their Vacation Club and have several incentives to do so. They offer free entertainment specials, premium food in restaurants, free internet etc. In fairness we were only solicited when we arrived and not after. If you are not a club member, the special entertainments cost about $55 each, Steaks, shrimp etc in a-la carte are about $10-$15 more. Room service is $5 each time, Wireless Internet in your room (there is free in the lobby) goes for $15 for one day to $70 per week. A safe in your room is $1 per day.and so on. We found this nickel and diming to be annoying, but then we only did the safe in our room thing. We did not know about it all until we arrived, If we had known beforehand it would not have been such a surprise.

We had a wonderful time and will go back again.

Room Tip: We had a non-adjoining room at the back (garden view?) overlooking the tennis court and arrival are...

we just got back from our vaca to royal solaris for a week... pool is nice and everythings good but when the fire happened COMPLETE chaos... we were standing outside for quite sometime... there were NO fire alarms, no sprinklers in the cieling and no emergency lighting... unacceptable. if that had happend in the middle of the night it would have been MUCH worse. there was alot of smoke there pourong out of the roof above the lobby... when we got back into the resort to the theater they sent the entertainment crew out to say what was going on...NOT THE MANAGER!? none of the staff had a straight answer to give us. they said we would have to get relocated (about half ofthe hotel) we had to pack in the dark then get on a bus to cabo then wait 2 and half hours to get told they were out of rooms? (wyndham resort) so then back to the taxis then we went and got a room at the marriot so we didnt get to bed till 6:30 AM... got up at 8:30 called solaris and they said they didnt want us to come back to the solaris... (we are theyre customers and theyre basically saying that we dont value our customers) so we went back and waited back in the chaotic line to finally get a temporary room with some freinds we met there... we then wanted to get an ocean view (we paid for ocean view not parking lot view!) the front desk staff was BRUTAL... we asked to get reloacated to a different resort equally as good if not better.. they said we will have to pay for it though!? not good customer service. theyre was ALOT of unhappy people there... all in all theyre emergency plan for the fire was brutal no organization of a plan none of the employees knew what was going on... and we found out there was another fire in december... dont stay at the solaris... no fire alarms,no emerggecy lighting and comeplete chaos and fire prone.
