Too much to see in one day; take two! San Jose del Cabo is as safe and clean and lovely as it gets. A variety of artwork from traditional Mexican beads embroidery to modern mixed media.

There is some interesting art there but it's much better to visit during the day, when the artists are getting ready for the night event - they have more time to talk to you and your visit is more personal, with more time to enjoy the art. The evening has more commercial than artsy feeling to it. When I was there, there were vans and buses bringing loads of tourists from Los Cabos. The restaurants were busier then the galleries. There was music on the main square as well as some bars. The night lights and general atmosphere of the event made it worth visiting, although I left with the mixed feelings. Great for people watching.
Loved the music on the streets and how the town comes alive at night. Shops and galleries are open and many places have tequila tasting.
Fun experience! Will go again. Fun shopping and great restaurants in the Plaza area too! Girls trip and everyone enjoyed it!
The San Jose Art Walk is a fun way to start your Thursday evening in San Jose. There are a great many fine galleries in San Jose and all are eager to greet you on a Thursday night. Many provide refreshments and a glass of wine. Its a good way to get acquainted with downtown San Jose and there are a number of truly fine restaurants on the walk trail. Try Mi Casa or the H Restaurant. Tequila Restaurant is another great choice but there are others. Try the Art Walk, you'll be glad you did!
We laughed, we looked at some great art and some funky art, we made new friends and this was just a purely enjoyable evening. Definitely "we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto!" experience. Shopkeepers and artists were fun and not pushy; some galleries had wine or tequila. Eat dinner early then stroll, stroll, stroll. Maybe even buy something lovely!
